- Greetings extended family!
The Banjul tour part 2 is finally here! Follow me and Mam Binta around the capital city of The Gambia with our 2 tour guides.
It was a very interesting day and we learned so much, and we didn’t pick up a book to read all about it. There is much wisdom and knowledge in the people of the city themselves. We got the privilege to talk to two different individuals with different aspects of Banjul and The Gambia as a whole.
Special thanks to:Modou Bah

Hey extended family!!
This video is mostly in Wolof, but a bit in English as well.
Hope you still enjoy it 😍🇬🇲
Hopefully, you can add subtitles for us that can’t understand much.
great video. sharing the concerns of local Gambian owned businesses.
You should have translated this or added subtitles. I know the young baker and the sheikh had important information that we english speakers could also benefit from. I appreciate your efforts.
what a valuable information I learn so much from this old school, I spent some of my childhood in Banjul without knowing some of the information this guy offered about Banjul and the sourounding. Thanks AFRICAN DIARIES
I learned a lot too that day! And we wanted to share it all with you extended family ! 😁
I actually don’t know much about gambia so something like these helps a lot tack så jättemycket syster älskar dig 😍
I'm glad you could benefit from this video then! 😁
Mycket kärlek till dig sis, vart är du ifrån?

So nice of you, ameen !! God bless our uncle, he was so insightful!! This information cannot be faded, it's our responsibility to teach the next generation ❤
Nice video again Marie and Mam binta, yes, that's Banjul yesterday, exactly the uncle narrated it, there's lots of cordiality between neighbours and people. Nice, to familiar streets again. 🙂
Thank you extended family! We're happy to show you The Gambia 😊😊
It's nice to go to Banjul to know something about Banjul sister is was a good programme
We appreciate that ! 😊💯💯

👏🏾💯
I will try his bakery, if I can find it. Looks delicious.
Do that - support our brother! 😁😁

Fantastic vlog, shukran sister.
Appreciate it extended family 😁
Good to see you again around
Thank you bro! 😄
Am happy to see my bro Modou good man
Oh you know him? 💯
Nice!!
Thanks brother !
Thank you Africandiaries. Very informative.
What's the contact number for the baker featured? Very inspiring young man. He needs to be assisted either by government or a wealthy business partner. These kind of people should be patronised.
PLEASE DO SOMILAR EPISODE FOR BAKAU. ITS A HISTORICAL PLACE AS WELL.
It's our pleasure brother Adama! Thank you for all your comments. I believe the number was in the description, since this was more than 1 year ago 😅
We should definitely aid local businesses in The Gambia
Seems peaceful in 🇬🇲
It is ! 😁😁
No sista Marie, the mosque and church are near each other because they were set out using geomancy esoterically. Go and check out your main government building, you may find that it is facing the east. All European cities are laid out auspiciously. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the information extended family!
And it's my pleasure to bring you this video 😁
Keep it up
We will ☺️☺️
Thanks for the good video. Show us independence drive, central bank road, Mandela avenue/road etc
💯👏🏾 happy you enjoyed it !
Brikama Tour, please😊
I should do that next time around! Thanks for the tip 😀
The rolls look good but leaving them sitting outside or even inside with the door open and uncovered is just so unappealing. Just using clean cloth to cover the bread will make a world of difference.
True that! Thanks for the tip 😄
What is the name of the young man who makes the bread (Talapala)? How is his business today? I pray he is doing well. 🙏🏾
I haven't been to The Gambia for almost 2 years now... so I am not sure how the business is going ...
I pray he is doing well too
I know this man, he was a teacher
Oh really, what a small world 👏🏾
I feel you brother, the government should help local business, especially Gambians. As always government including the president always helping themselves. GREED
Definitely, lazy tyrants
There should be more resources placed in a lot of places in The Gambia - local businesses being one of then!
❤❤❤
🤍🌹
The Bakery need help from BCC, Central Government to upgrade that bakery. He also shouldn't be blaming the foreigners. How many Gambians are in some other countries. Spent all my childhood in Banjul remembering a bag of rice at 53 Dalasi, but they are very quick of blaming a foreigner. It can be a very beautiful City with a historical side to it. in the early 198, the King Fahad Mosque was football field and I used to walked across it four times to and from school.
We gave the baker an opportunity to express himself. Thank you for watching 😁
👍🏾
💯💯
Lovely video, please translate in English for the english speaking subscribers.
I had a hard time doing that, I'll try harder next time 😁💯
What's the local rate for taxis? Is bolt or uber used in the Gambia?
Only taxi. No bolt or Uber. I was there three months ago.
Local taxis. Try to use taxis you know or has link with for safety purposes
@@adamabah1035 thanks. What’s a daily rate for local taxis?
Taxis fares differ depending where you going. D10( ten Dalasis mostly for short journeys) D150 to D200 for town trip hire - short journeys.
I think there should be government tabulated fares for town trip as presently there are lots of irregularities.
The transport system is presently chaotic couple with very bad roads Needs a lot of remodelling / reorganisation. These problems are long standing by the way. Bolt or uber system is a dream presently but who knows when changes may come.
@@adamabah1035 Thanks for that Adama
he need to talk yep to get assitance or youth ministry
His message needs to get out ! 👊🏾👊🏾
I got married in Banjul..
Congratulations ! 👏🏾👏🏾
@@africandiaries Thank you
use a mask, gloves, and cover the bread with mosquito netting from flies and we will buy your bread
I understand your concern.
Government cannot do all for you. If you have a business keep trying. Too much complaining. Just keep working.
As I stated before - we gave the baker to express himself. They are working day by day to sustain themselves. A little help wont hurt 😅
