"Dog don't feel guilt" Let me tell you a story about my dog (He passed late last year, rest in peace my brother). He was once playing with my older brother with a toy and leapt up to grab it. Instead he accidentally bit my brother's arm and caused it to bleed. I want to stress that nobody at any point got mad at him. We could all see that it was an accident, there was no yelling or scolding. He was devastated, his playful mannerisms vanishing in an instant. We even tried cheering him up by petting him and telling him it's okay, offering treats and play. No matter what he was visibly down and upset over what had transpired for a good while afterwards. This video has a lot of great general tips that are sure to be true for a lot of dogs but, as any proud dog owner would tell you, dogs are individuals and hate/like different things.
When my dog pees in the house, she looks visually sad before I even see the pee (tail is wagging faster than usual, and her ears are down). When I do see the mess, I try to calm her down so that she doesn't go through any more stress.
My dog will rub her face on my mustache and neck beard when she’s hungry. She also likes hugs when she does this. But not tight hugs But when she eats a piece of food off the floor she lays on the couch by herself. Yesterday, I was ill. My 32 kilos dog snuggled up to me really close. It was close enough so I could properly hug my dog's back like a human hug for the first time with my hands wrapped around him. He kept turning his head around trying to lick my face. Then I turned away because I was in an awkward position and then he came up to me and licked me all over my face. Then he lay down on my lap, fell asleep and started snoring loudly. It was so cute. 😍And he's a big dog as well and I was really cold because I was ill so this big, warm, soft dog lying across me was really nice 😊😍 So my dog is the same. He didn't mind at all. He knew I was doing it for affection too because he tried to lick me while I was doing it. I think it just depends on your specific dog. My dog Dodger personally loves affection. When I hug a family member, he jumps up and puts his paws on my shoulder because he wants to be part of the group hug.💖💕😍
6:10 intonation of your voice is the key, I believe. My personal experience: no matter what I said, if it was in the cheering voice, my dog gets all happy and sniffs for treats. 6:40 my aunt's dog fought vacuum cleaner and the clothes dryer all his life. Fear of loud noises makes sense... since I have that fear and trauma from it myself

If the dog controls you, you need yo train them. Not hit it or anything, of course, but teach it to respect you. If they want to go on a walk, they ask for it quietly. If they want to eat, they must bring you their bowl. And, most importantly, NEVER let your dog pull on its leash. It hurts the dog and ruins any discipline you've taught them.
my 8yr old Alaskan malamute watched with me and she growled the whole time, i think she right! Dogs do feel emotion like love, and sadness and guilt. if they can get separation anxiety they definitely can feel other more complex emotions too.
I put a sweatshirt on my pup. She always seems cold despite not being a short hair, she’s got a wire coat. I know she doesn’t mind it since she’s always looking for warmth. We even bought a warming pad for her favorite chair, since we noticed her shivering. I hope it warms up already. She loves sun bathing but the dreary weather has made that less fun for her.
She might not be cold the shivering might not mean she is cold it probably means that she she’s actually shaking so therefore there are two things that It could be shaker sindrom or she might be scared of you 🤔
Cockapoo Crazy! I think that the video creator means the majority. For example, my dog loves swimming in water outdoors, so long as it is a good temperature and not too loud, but he absolutely hates baths. I have noticed that he seems to fear the drain and faucet area most. My old dog hated all water, although he was part lab. He feared it so much! He even learned not to get muddy, as to avoid bathes.
Actually, dogs are loyal no matter what age they are but they get more easy-going as they get older because they get slower and quieter as they get older.
Since my dog really likes physical contact, I found a way to hug him without making him feel like he's trapped. It's more like putting an arm around a friend than an actual hug. I make him sit, and then I sit down next to him looking in the same direction. Then I lean towards him and put an arm around his middle. That's how I hug my dog!
My dog barks at the mailman EVERY DAY. He’s even met the mailman, and sniffed his shoes, and let the mailman pet him. Yet every day my dog barks. I found that instead of yelling at my dog, I thank him, and tell him he’s a good boy for letting mommy know that the mail is here. It calms him right down. I believe he just needs me to acknowledge that he is protecting the house. He feels validated, and like he’s doing a good job.

I taught my dog to hug too! He's a larger dog (Blue Australian Cattle Dog) so I have to be careful who he hugs but this is how I did it. I patted my chest with my face and told him "hug", picking him up by his front arms and carefully placing them just above my hips and hugging him back. I repeated this process until he got the hang of it, bringing his arms up himself. My dog would observe other people hugging and would take on some behaviours he sees. Such as laying his head on top of the other person's head or squeezing their waist tight. If it's a taller person he sometimes jumps to get up to their level.
Yeaahhh my friends jack russell is a cuddler, she will come up on our laps and demand us to hold her...almost like a baby so we can give her tummy pats, she prefers the arms so she can be on us and not feel like she gonna fall off

I had a dog who was fearless. He'd ask to go outside in a thunderstorm. We'd let him out thinking he had to pee. Nope. He just had to bark at the sky, "COME HERE AND SAY THAT TO MY FACE!" He yelled back at the sky when it thundered. Same with fireworks.
We had a dog years back, she sure knew when she did something wrong. We returned home, enteted the house laughing, in a good mood. She saw us, and started slinking away from us. I genuinely believe that dogs can feel guilt. One of my dogs is older and has lost some of her bladder control and sometimes has accidents in the house. When we find the pee we’re like “cupcake peed” and then she goes and hides and shows her guilty face even when we assure her that she didn’t do anything wrong.

He has gone to the bathroom in the house, but he doesn't go on the carpet and he can't help it because Im at work for 8hr so I dont get mad at him. He always act guilty though. Yes, dogs make a guilty face and hide in a corner, but that doesn't not mean that they're feeling guilt. So, why do they make a guilty face? That's an easy question. Dogs do that so their punishment won't be too bad, so you can show some mercy. Wolves have done that when they gave up in a fight. Looked guilty so the other wolf would've shown some mercy. To assume that you know everything better than a scientist just because you own a dog is wrong, these people have a degree for a reason.

My dog learned, by himself, french commands. Like I spoke german and Portuguese with him and once we moved to the French speaking part, he just learned commands like sit, stay, etc.. in french. Now I speak 3 languages to my dog and he understands the same commands in each language ❤

And you probably won't find a scientist studying dog behavior (or even just owning a dog) who claims they don't understand the connection between eating your shoe, and you getting angry.
I sometimes think my dog reacts that way around other dogs because he thinks suddenly I won't be interested in him anymore. So basically he tries to get the other dogs to stay away. I think many dogs do this as a defense to protect the life they have. Especially if your dog is spoiled. Its hard not to though. I love my beagle so much. He's my best friend.

Yesterday, I was ill. My 32 kilos dog snuggled up to me really close. It was close enough so I could properly hug my dog's back like a human hug for the first time with my hands wrapped around him. He kept turning his head around trying to lick my face. Then I turned away because I was in an awkward position and then he came up to me and licked me all over my face. Then he lay down on my lap, fell asleep and started snoring loudly. It was so cute. 😍And he's a big dog as well and I was really cold because I was ill so this big, warm, soft dog lying across me was really nice 😊😍

I think it just depends on your specific dog. My dog Dodger personally loves affection. When I hug a family member, he jumps up and puts his paws on my shoulder because he wants to be part of the group hug.💖💕😍

If the dog controls you, you need yo train them. Not hit it or anything, of course, but teach it to respect you. If they want to go on a walk, they ask for it quietly. If they want to eat, they must bring you their bowl. And, most importantly, NEVER let your dog pull on its leash. It hurts the dog and ruins any discipline you've taught them.

I put a sweatshirt on my pup. She always seems cold despite not being a short hair, she’s got a wire coat. I know she doesn’t mind it since she’s always looking for warmth. We even bought a warming pad for her favorite chair, since we noticed her shivering. I hope it warms up already. She loves sun bathing but the dreary weather has made that less fun for her.
She might not be cold the shivering might not mean she is cold it probably means that she she’s actually shaking so therefore there are two things that It could be shaker sindrom or she might be scared of you 🤔

Actually, dogs are loyal no matter what age they are but they get more easy-going as they get older because they get slower and quieter as they get older.
Since my dog really likes physical contact, I found a way to hug him without making him feel like he's trapped. It's more like putting an arm around a friend than an actual hug. I make him sit, and then I sit down next to him looking in the same direction. Then I lean towards him and put an arm around his middle. That's how I hug my dog!

My dog barks at the mailman EVERY DAY. He’s even met the mailman, and sniffed his shoes, and let the mailman pet him. Yet every day my dog barks. I found that instead of yelling at my dog, I thank him, and tell him he’s a good boy for letting mommy know that the mail is here. It calms him right down. I believe he just needs me to acknowledge that he is protecting the house. He feels validated, and like he’s doing a good job.

First I go down on my knees ((she’s a jack Russell terrier so she’s small)) and I pat my shoulder she then jumps up on me and lays her head in the crook of my neck and I gently push her towards me a bit so we’re close and I gently wrap my arms back around her . We once sat in the position for 5 minutes without moving

I taught my dog to hug too! He's a larger dog (Blue Australian Cattle Dog) so I have to be careful who he hugs but this is how I did it. I patted my chest with my face and told him "hug", picking him up by his front arms and carefully placing them just above my hips and hugging him back. I repeated this process until he got the hang of it, bringing his arms up himself. My dog would observe other people hugging and would take on some behaviours he sees. Such as laying his head on top of the other person's head or squeezing their waist tight. If it's a taller person he sometimes jumps to get up to their level.
Yeaahhh my friends jack russell is a cuddler, she will come up on our laps and demand us to hold her...almost like a baby so we can give her tummy pats, she prefers the arms so she can be on us and not feel like she gonna fall off

I genuinely believe that dogs can feel guilt. One of my dogs is older and has lost some of her bladder control and sometimes has accidents in the house. When we find the pee we’re like “cupcake peed” and then she goes and hides and shows her guilty face even when we assure her that she didn’t do anything wrong.
Exactly it like those scientist don't have dogs. If my dog does something wrong I know by how he acts. He has gone to the bathroom in the house, but he doesn't go on the carpet and he can't help it because Im at work for 8hr so I dont get mad at him. He always act guilty though. I sometimes think my dog reacts that way around other dogs because he thinks suddenly I won't be interested in him anymore. So basically he tries to get the other dogs to stay away. I think many dogs do this as a defense to protect the life they have. Especially if your dog is spoiled. Its hard not to though. I love my beagle so much. He's my best friend.

I have a maltipoo who HATES other animals has attacked them and serious anxiety.
My German Shephed hates big dogs but we also cannot have her around little dogs cause she loves them too much like they are toys, it's so frustrating lol.

Ok quick story. My sister bought a bath bomb which cost her about £7. She put the bath bomb in the bath and left for a minute to do something. When she got back into the bathroom, her husky who is called storm was sat In the bath, looking at her while smiling😂
