Another mistakes owners make is to get a dog based on looks and cropped there ears and cut there tail thinking it's not painful and benefits the dog with is wrong, if you want a dog get one and love it as it is it's supposed to be family not an object,

    • @tammyrawdon3587

👏😻👍Yes!!! Cropping & Docking are painfully unnecessary procedures whose reasons for being are outdated & unnecessary for most regular, law abiding citizens. *Unless they are a working dog who's at risk of the injuries that are one of the reasons that this was done back in the day.

@@tammyrawdon3587 yes there's still a tiny mistake even a working dog like a hunters dog doesn't need cut ears only the tail gets cut short but also not fully so they can Still communicate :), at least it's forbidden in most places in Europe but some still don't care enough and I hope it will change someday to most dogs that are cropped life in the USA and only ther u got so many aggression problems, because there are not enough rules to settle the well being of the dog it's about monye and that the dogs are seen as object, in exchange there are still lots of illegal dog fights and violent dogs it's not the dogs fault it's the humans that don't care, but I'm glad u know that :) because there are too many that tell themselves it's ok and does benefit the dog and would hurt just to ease ther mind myths spread fast unfortunately

@@elijahvasquez8136 Then that would fall under "a working dog who's at (high) risk of the injuries..." like I said?
Although personally it'd take more than being very active (we're in the woods, hike, have an agility course, host training classes, travel) for me to do that to them.
But I don't need to because I rely more on training (than tools) to stop them from going into risky situations.
The upside is that people didn't usually realize they were Doberman, Rottweiler & Pittie because none of them were cropped &/or docked, so we rarely had to deal with the negative stigmas & prejudices of Breedism.
My handyman just had 2 dogs (but not the black Lab) taken just bc of their breeds😾👎 they didn't even have an "incident" or a warning much less a ticket or anything 😿 The cops just took them (2out of3) from the fenced back yard (from what I was told) & the kids are so sad.
And yes, one is a Pitbull type breed.

Really? What about cars, knives, bats, hammers, chains & prescription drugs? (among others) 🤔 All of which are commonly misused for deadly purposes. Education vs Censorship... Knowledge is Power. Banning is black market fodder.

@@soaringstars314 But when those don't work after you've progressed your way through them and it's a choice between more aggressive temporary training tools or putting them to death?...🤷
I've been doing Animal Rescue Work for about 40yrs and I can promise you that sometimes people fůck up animals so badly that they have actual trauma & PTSD which manifests as extreme aggression.
If you cannot "fix them" to a certain extent then they cannot be "safe enough" to be around and no one wants to be responsible for the liability of them injuring or killing someone.
Have you not seen the recent headlines?!? All those people who were in lockdown over covid who got pets but didn't bother to learn about them are now dealing with killer pets ☠️😾☠️ and the legal ramifications.

As an occasional treat you can make pupsicles with broth (watch out for onion-garlic-salt if store bought) in a paper cup (or?). When it's ½ way frozen, you can put a "milkbone" ½ way in it for a "popsicle stick"... &/or add bits of meat, vegetables or fruit, etc depending on what they like.

    • @tammyrawdon3587

Proper barking is just like a conversation with them and can even calm their protective instincts. But if it riles them up, they can be triggered to attack. Make sure that your neighbors know that you are just "saying Hi" or they may get "barking mad"😉
