I had a step daughter that at the age of 8 (1998) loved Lucy and would mimic her. Her mother and I took her to the I Love Lucy shop in Las Vegas and she was overwhelmed. I’ll never forget at her 9th birthday, we took her to Las Vegas and when she realized it, her reaction was priceless, going into hyper mode!!
I love Lucy and she loves me, We’re as happy as two can be, Sometimes we quarrel but then … (ha ha ha) How we love making up again. Lucy kisses like no one can, She’s my missus and I’m her man; And life is heaven you see Cause I love Lucy Yes I love Lucy, and Lucy loves me (As sung by Desi at the birthday party episode.)
Lucy is the reason Star Trek made it to air. Her production company were producers of the show and she said if it do not go on the air she would take her show and Star Trek to another network and they would play it. The network broke down as she was responsible for 25% of the the networks income.
genius business woman & actor. saw her in a couple of black & white movies, she was beautiful. i wonder why she wasnt a bigger movie star back in the day.
I've read something about that. She was too unusual - not feminine enough - gender roles were viewed MUCH more strictly back then (Hey, it was the 50's). She was originally kicked out of acting school. Physical comedy was still brand new for women. So like so many people on the leading edge of change, she was rejected countless times for being too brash. That also accounts for why she & Desi started their own production company.
She was an amazing comedian. 1959 my dad fixed a dent in her car, we got to look inside her rolls Royce. My sister and I got to meet her Driver, a week later we got 8x10 autograph picture of Lucy
Looking back on viv's performance, She was the farthest thing from a prop. Fekk you very much 60s. She is the Lily of the valley and that will never change.
I think we all loved our Lucy 💜

His voice is iconic. Robert, James earl Jones and Jeremy irons have very unique voices that are wow
One of the best shows I ever watched when I was a kid made me laugh till I cried 🤣 😢
And in response Lucy said: "I married a LOSER.'' She really had a touching way with words.
LOVE ALWAYS ❤️ ❤❤❤
To Lucy our comedy queen 👍🏼♥️🙏🏼✝️🌹
Opposites do attract no matter if they divorced, no matter what
