      Plus saves a ton of time, the commute there and back plus waiting around is like half a day, when you can be on the road earning instead

    Hi m8. When you get the poly bushes they supply the Metal washers/shims which sometimes cant fit the new bushes on the rod. I found that once the bushes have settled you can then later pop in the washers/shims to tighten the wishbones up again.

      Hi, thanks for the info ! I dont think i got shims with mine, good to know for future though 👍👍

      @wilyboo หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@mec-tec When you did your 1st wishbone polybush replacement they came with the shims but I noticed you never used them because the bushes were tight and didn't need them. The shims/washers have a slight dome which recess into the bush.

      @@wilyboo ah i see, my memory is terrible 😆 They do have a washer either side, ive no idea where the extra shims went 😄

    My pads also wear differently like yours too, dont know why. Every time drivers side is well worn and other side has a bit of meat left, raised it with the garage that has done the brakes a few times and they said its nothing to worry about as only around a couple k miles difference in the pads.
    Only thing i can think of perhaps more weight on the drivers side cos of the drivers seat and no passenger seat on other side ?

      Hi mate, thanks for the message, mine seems to wear more on the passenger side, no idea why, both calipers are free as u saw in the vid, very strange 🤔

    Another great video, many thanks. I have a 2007 TX4 that i use to transport my grandchildren. I bought it from Chops Garage, another youtuber. I am missing the advertising stickers for the back flip up seats. Can you help me get a set.

    Hi MEC - I like the strap around the tree - many jobs were corrected - which is good - I wonder what other cabbies do when things go wrong - payout I guess - 3000 subscribers - well done D

      Hi wak, yep the tree worked pretty well, i think when i repair it properly i will do that with a welded plate on the door so i call pull it more, yep i guess other pay, thanks 👍👍👍

    18,000 miles out of a set of pads?

    • @mec-tec
      @mec-tec  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, do you mean from when i fitted the discs ? Its had one other set of pads in between that vid and this one, not sure on the mileage 👍

    • @Br1anuk
      @Br1anuk หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m only getting 18,000 miles out of mine. Can’t believe how heavy they are on the brakes compared with a manual TX4.

      @mec-tec  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Br1anuk yes they do reply on the brakes alot, il have to check the next time i change them and see what i get out of em 👍

    • @80skid83
      @80skid83 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Br1anuk18k is pretty good for a tx4. I used to only get around 12 to 15k on pads sometimes less. Past couple brake changes though I have been using ebc pads and get 25k, only £20 a set. Someone else has claimed they got 50k on a set of pagids brake pads, seems a lot

      Haha yes that right, its more of an old school design, same as my capri, the discs bolt on the hubs on that too, not to bad to do once you have done em before 👍👍
