Lovely vlog my (papou) grandad is from Paphos a village called ayios fotis stratos and it is derikic village but amazing views. My mum has land there please go and do a vlog if you can get into it lol. Keep the vlogs coming. My (yiayia) grandmother is from Kyrnea but that is another story.
@sophiamatheou6448 thank you! Feel free to message us on the Nutters in Cyprus Facebook or Instagram with the co-ordinates and I'll go up to the land and make a video 😀
Hi Tom and family yes it does look like a nice place to have a wander around with some lovely looking places to go into and we never been to Paphos before as we are at the other end
We intend getting down there in April/May with the family when we bring them. My son hasn't been for nearly 20 years so I wonder if he'll remember anything. Enough choice all over the area. I used to have a customer in Nantwich whose brother had a restaurant on the steep hill in Peyia. When we went it was like looking at his brother. Left the car in gear with the handbrake because of that hill!
@suziclapshaw4328 I'm probably not the best to answer this. We moved here end of June. But I think it's May it gets busier, I could be wrong tho! Maybe somebody else can answer better 🙏🇨🇾🍻
@NuttersInCyprus thanks so much for your reply. It willbeApril 2026 so willkeep an eye on your videos and hopefully it's a it more open in April. (It's a birthday trip, hence the month I'm interested in!) Thanks again 👍
Hi I’m very much enjoying your videos. Do you have any videos on the schooling system in Cyprus? I am living in the uk and currently homeschooling my 3 kids. If we moved over there I know homeschooling wouldn’t be an option. Curious to know what the daily routine is like, what the curriculum is, what holidays do they get etc. thank you 😊
Personally i don't see anything wrong with your figure, I don't think you need to lose weight at all . I went to Paphos last year with my bf, loved it but hated seeing so many stray cats and a lot of restaurants kicking them out on the street, they were so hungry, i spent my entire holiday feeding them and also helping out in one of the rescue centres , I am a massive animal lover and especially cats made me so sad, in fact we had them in our apartment and one in particular i really wanted to take back to the Uk with me . I still loved it there and bf scuba dives so he enjoyed it , would go back sometime but we have so many countries we want to visit as well , thankyou for your videos
Was literally just looking at some airbnbs there for 3rd of feb for a week some decent cheap places, decided on tenerife instead but will definitely come here another time
I'm well aware of how friendly and welcoming the Cypriot people are, but isn't there a chance that they'll soon get tired of more and more foreign migrants coming onto their beautiful, peaceful island. Obviously, at the moment, many Brits are heading there and, in addition, Russians and Chinese have been settling there over the last few years. I'm not saying I don't understand why people are moving there but wonder about the risk of Cyprus losing it's identity (as we've done in the UK.) Have any locals spoken of any such concerns?
No locals have spoken of that concern to me. However, 1 of the older Cypriots I know said, they don't like the number of foreigners here, but that I'm different and I'm welcome 🤣 I also think not all immigration is the same, but we won't get into that! I mean there's a chance of anything happening, but until it does it's not worth a thought!
Not really. Cyprus is a popular tourist destination, and Cypriots are generally very welcoming to tourists and foreigners. However, if you're talking about illegal immigration that is a different and very sensitive issue and a lot of Cypriots have become bitter towards illegal immigrants.
@panayiotispapakyriakou5258 I'm talking about legal migration to the island. I'm simply curious if, like the Spanish, the locals feel some areas of their country are being taken over by foreigners and they are finding it difficult to find affordable housing.
@MarkSexton887 I tried to edit in an arrow pointing at the sun, with a caption that said "for the UK viewers here a reminder of what the sun looks like" but it didn't look right!
When UK got involved in the Iraq war, all flights to Cyprus were cancelled (including mine). I got on the first flight available as soon as they were reinstated and Cyprus was like a ghost town. Most of the businesses had taken the opportunity to do refurbishments, deep cleans, get refrigeration serviced etc etc. It seems to have carried on which is why so many are closed around this time and also not so many tourists to make it worthwhile.
Good to see you again Jeanette! When we lived in Portugal it was pretty much law the businesses had to close for renovation every couple of years. The government paid a big % of the renovation costs if I remember correctly!
Exactly, people only looked at the breakfast in isolation, I eat 2200 calories yesterday and I burnt 2800. When I was in good shape, I had never once ran....only walked 😀

@@marian6593 This is true in Limassol mainly that hosts large populations of Russians, Ukrainians, etc. Other cities, not so much!
