MG ZS 2019. 2 yrs na sa akin so far walang issue. Depende kasi yan sa end user.
>> Nag fade ant paint ng top coat in one year - not good, its not suppose to fade in one year, minor scratches ok lang
>> Headlight moist normal? hindi po normal yan, may damage ang rubber seal nyan
>> Okey naman yung makina after may pinalitan ng tensioner pero meron pa rin problema - not good pa rin, ang word na "okey na rin" means di yan ok
>> Aircon noise is still not good, something is very wrong talaga
>> Nag fall-off yung cap sa steering joint sa shaft, suppose to be, hindi talaga dapat mangyari yan, tsaka nahulog pa yung bearing - wow, substandard ang pagkagawa, delikado since its a steering component.
Suppose to be, vehicle problems should start to appear in 5 years onwards, but this vehicle, wala pa one year, problems starts to come in, so its typically, sad to say, not very well built, given the fact na alagang-alaga pa ang sasakyan...

Your humble feedback sir is appreciated. 😀 About the top coat not really to the extend na nag fade totally you ca see that still shiny what I mean is that the shiny look from the moment we first took the car is not that shinest after 1 year.
Believe it or not sir that's what TCCCI(Philippines Distributor) told to us, and it's backed by the SAIC motors representative who came here sa bansa natin last year. Some other issues I have mentioned in my vlog I think was just isolated cases, sabi ko nga wala naman perfect car like any other car brands even branded nag kaka issue. Time really can tell kung durable nga ba si MG.
@@MotoCarsPh yes sir I agree, most issues plague some newer vehicles but what I'm stressing about is that, its just less than a year and major issues have gone out just like that tensioner and drive shaft joint

@@buzzlight-year4824 It's not a Chinese brand, it is a British Car but assembled in China. Most of the cars nowadays are assembled in China but that doesn't mean they are Chinese brands.
This review can be easily put out of context especially those na naghahanap ng butas sa Chinese made brands. Mukhang normal na wear and tear naman lahat , yung tagtag dahil 50 series tires on 17 inch mags. Kahit anong sasakyan pa yan mapa Japan or made in heaven pa yan medyo matagtag talaga. Ang mga SUVs usually makapal ang gulong kaya mas comfortable.

mg owner ako zs alpha and rent a car owner.1 yr na yung mg ko so far so good wala naging problema ako na encounter.mas meron pa sa ibang unit ko.tyempo tyempo lang yan siguro den sa nag rent sa akin for 1 yr iisang tao lang ma ingat.kumbaga nsa guma gamit yan saka klase ng driver kahit anong sasakyan kumbaga sa cellphone kahit nka iphone kapa kung balasubas ka gumamit wala din tatagal.yung mg ko nga pala 20k km na tinakbo ok pa din

Depends pren siguro sa millage. Kase depende naman ren sa tao kng gaano kadalas gamiten sasakyan.
AC squeeking sound, usually sa ac blower, need palinis / iDIY lng ng linis at lagyan ng silicon wd40 sa moving parts ng blower na nagcacause ng squeek boss
Ito lang lagi mong tandaan kahit anong brand ng kotse make an everyday check in the morning kung lagi mo ba naman xa gamit daily. At "dont push to the limit" xempre ung sasakyan bibigay yan. Road situation sa pinas lubak lubak saket ng sasakyan. Long drive need din mamahinga engine para hindi babad sa byahe.
Pag tirik ang araw hirap ang aircon? So parang sa buong summer hirap ang aircon lalo na ngaun napakainit ng panahon. Para sa akin di lang sya, maliit na isyu. One of the reason na kaya ka bumili na sasakyan is comfort... Paano pag nasa traffic pa yan. Lalo ng hirap ang compressor... Para sa akin. Malaking factor yang aircon issue na yan. MG design and technology are british. It is a british brand assembled in china. Not all made in China are low quality, just to let you known guys that there's a lot of big cars and airplane company parts are made in china, and most of electronic gadgets are made and assembled in China as well like apple etc.
Tama ka dyan kasabwat. Even my colleague sa work. After nya mag work sa China nawala yong bad impression nya about stereotype made in China. Kasi ok daw ang quality ng mga products na gawa doon.
british cars are poorly made vehicles. which is why MG went bankrupt for the same reason years ago. if you google "mg reliability", the very first result will show you this information: "MG actually came out as the worst car brand for engine reliability." and if you do the same thing for british made cars, you're going to be bombarded with basically the same information. you have to realize that there's a huge difference between assembled in china, and made in china. when everything is made in china, it's usually crap

Nope, not anymore... The design was pure Chinese.. The last British design was a Rover car... Which was stopped in 2005..thereon, said brand never design an SUV, just car.. SAIC motor owned the name MG and design everything. Nit a single British tech was introduced, just name
May MG RX5 rin kami almost 1 year na no problem naman still working fine.

Nag wowork ako sa General Motors Cadillac middle East division at vlogger din Alam nyo dito sa middle dito nyo malaman if matibay ang isang sasakyan dahil iba ang climate dito at choice ko MG plan to buy

Nice review sir. Just to add, MG is the 2019 breakout brand of the year by Top Gear Philippines because of its sales last year that’s why I decided to go to MG Sucat for a quick assessment, luckily they have a 6 ZS 2020 and some MG5 for release that I can closely go through and evaluate. That day I decided to have a DP for ZS Alpha. That goes to show that MG is slowly becoming an established car brand here in PH. I think the condition of any car will always depends on the driver and it’s good that you are observant and aware what’s happening on your car..

What I like most of MG is the fuel efficiency.

Bottomline is, at the end of the day its really up to the end user to take car of the unit. The lifespan of any investment is the way the owner handles it. period.
Cguro oo siguro hindi. Hindi ako maalaga sa sasakyan aside from oil change wala ngang ligo sasakyan ko. 5 yrs na sakin yung ford nga na suv peru kung ano ko siya binili yun parin sya kahit walang alaga. Araw araw pa gamit kaya kahit medyo mahal kesa sa competition peru talagang naglalast with little maintenance

Thank you sa review na to, hindi na ko bibili ng MG ZS. The issue with the engine plus the steering component, 1 year pa lang is a red flag. These are issues na lumalabas na sa sasakyan after 5 years or so.
ANY BRAND OF CAR, YES THERE IS ADVANTAGE AND DISADVANTAGE, BUT ITS DEFENDS HOW YOU WILL TREAT AND USED IT PROPERLY, BUT AS LONG YOU KNOW HOW TO MAINTAIN THE MAINTENANCE AND CAR CHECK UP,THE WORRY IS LESSEN AND AVOID MUCH COST OF PROBLEM.
Well malalaman mo talaga ang tibay niyan after owning it for 5 years or more kasi after one or two years na gamit hindi pa ganun ka tagtag yan eh or hindi pa visible ang wear and tear, do a review after 5 years of owning it then well see kung durable ba talaga siya. Pero i believe naman na basta alaga sa maintenance and hindi barubal gumamit ng sasakyan kahit china made eh magtatagal din yan

You might want to look at mazdas.. i have mine for a year now.. no issues at all.. Just the minor paint fade, but i had coated with ceramic to at least prolong the shine☺
Unibody on independent suspension (just like yours) has better handling than ladder frame chassis (on solid axles, 4x4s, offroaders) Hindi lang talaga maganda pagkakagawa ng suspension ng MG kaya matagtag agad after 1 yr.

Sir thanks sa mga review about MG my plano kasing bumili ang anak ko at tinatanong ako regarding sa performance ng MG since di naman talaga ako familiar sa MG kayo nanonood na lang ako sa mga blog, yon pong sinasabi nyo na nagmoist ang headlamp ng MG at normal lang yon meron po akong fortuner 9 years na po at never pong nagmoist ang headlamp nito since na binili ko salamat po
Salamat po at nagustuhan nyo. About sa moisture ng headlight. It's being backed by by the SAIC motors who came po sa Philippines last year. I'm not really depending na normal yan, I thought nga nong una sira sya pero it was the distributor (TCCCI) ang nag confirm na normal sya. I did my own research din kasi hindi rin ako maniwala noong una pero based sa mga article na nabasa ko .

Once the external temperature rises, the precipitation will evaporate and your headlamps will clear up.
Besides kung faulty headlamp ito, dapat may recall na nangyari kasi most of ZS ay may moist especially sa mga tropical countries. Kung mapapansin natin. Japan focus on what is priority when it comes to used of cars, durability for longevity, "tibay" which is the most important thing to carry precious life,. Thats why their never fail on it.. falling off parts to control driving specially when you are speeding is really a vital and fatal as mentioned here.. this has to support with credible information.. be carefull on mentioning this.. it is just my opinion though.. best regards.

moist sa headlamp is not normal after a year of use. innova ko na 2005 never nagka moist sa loob. nag haze lang through the years. ibalik mo sa dealer and ayusin nila yung sealant. or best have it replaced tutal ganun naman ang casa.. palit parts

Mukhang wala naman issue na hindi normal. Toyota Innova kotse ko more or less naging issue ko rin naman mga issue na nabanggit mo sa kotse mo. Wear and tear lang talaga sa kotse na ginagamit ng isang taon.
Iba tlaga ang Isuzu,Toyota,Mitsubishi,Nissan at ford tested na dto sa pinas ,mganda din nman ang ibang brand kaso lng sa pangmatagalan iba tlaga ang 5 nangunguna.

Nissan?depende yan,Navara at terra may issues yan,Cvt ng Nissan sirain,search m n lng din.Mitsu mas ok pa kaysa Nissan,Ford bihira matino,Sirain ecosport na Dct,Overall Toyota at Isuzu less issues,Toyota pinaka madaming recall pero at least maganda after sales service.

Mas matibay pa yung suzuki alto 800 ko. 5 years na nasa sa akin, naging problema ko lang dun gulong lang.. at change ng battery. Yun lang
Marami na po ako narinig sir basta casa PMS dont expect the good job dhil hindi dw ginagawa lahat lalo na pag free, especially sa ibang mga dealer bawal mo tingnan ang sasakyan mo habang ginagawa sa waiting area ka lng, so how come na ma sure mo kng ang dapat palitan pinalitan talaga nila.

magbbgay naman ng job order (including parts to be replaced)
per your consent
from there, pde mo iinspect ang car at paexplain sa technician/SA (why replacement is a must for certain parts)
new parts - you mark on it (if possible)
old parts - will be given to you upon request

change CASA if they are very strict to viewing your car from time to time
there are other casa - na lenient to viewing, wag lang tutukan d whole time
My mg zs turned 1 year last Feb., so far, I have no issues, except sa aircon..maybe bcoz of the sunroof? But after pms, mas naging waaaaay better and colder ang AC. No issues also with suspension. Also, sturdy ang exterior nya. Overall, i am satisfied with ZS, an redeem somewhat ang bias and prejudice as China cars. Hehe

A/C nowadays is an issue, not because the car brands are faulty, it's because the Philippines is really a hot country. Hirap na hirap ang a/c lumamig agad especially pag tirik ang araw. I think it's a good practice not to open the sunroof all the time pero it's never a good practice not to open it at least once a week man lang. Lahat ng bagay na hindi nagagamit, prone din sa sira. Its parts need to be exercised kumbaga. Imagine not opening it for a month, baka ma stuck na mechanisms nyan. Siguro po once a week or a few times a month won't hurt. ☺️

Goes to show that MG's quality control is already on par with the Koreans but still not up there with the Japanese. Yes you can say that a car's condition is still dependent on the end-user, but reliability and durability is really measured on how cars stand up with normal (or even little) maintenance. Some brands can survive up to years of practically no preventive maintenance, for that matter.
i beg to disagree, no car is reliable if you dont maintain it properly. and regarding survivability with little to no maintenance, hindi ma applicable yan ngayon. dahil loaded na ng mga sensors ang mga sasakyan ngayon. bago ka pa umabot dun sa ganun, hindi ka na titigilan kulitin ng ECU.

Never mag moist ang headlights sir kapag maayos yung sealant.
Usually nangyayari yan pag nag modify ka ng halogen to HID/projector at di maganda pagka seal ng headlight sa assembly.
Covered ng warranty yan sir, dapat nilang i-reseal or palitan housing.

This is why you don't buy first gen cars from relatively new companies.
The first year already has way more problems than if you bought something from a more established brand.
My Chevy Colorado from 2015 has never had any problems other than the gas cap getting stuck sometimes.
Runs like it's brand new.
MG brand itself is not a new car company (british heritage). It is now chinese owned company already has more problems at 12k mileage. Same here 2014 trailblzer ltz no problem, just a bit diesel guzzler. 😅
MG cars started 1920's, while Toyota cars some what like 1935..not new

Nice review sir, goodluck for another year with the unit. Sir share ko lang my pov. Im not in the bag for this car since mg is a british brand before buy out by a chinese company, reliability concerns are lots since british made cars are not that durable. Pero i believe na even though chinese brands are flocking our markets meron at meron pa ding magiging on top, like yung ranking ng japanese brands nasa top yung toyota then honda, for me top 1 is geely, then chery, then top 3 yung mg. Feel free to discuss this thanks 😊

FYI, the condition of a car depends on the kind of owner. some owners take care of their car very well and some do not. the car that was presented was cleaned before it was shown on this video lol.

Hello. Nabanggit nyo po na meron napalitan sa makina ng car nyo. Yung meron po kayong napansin na gurgling sound after 3 months? Ano po yun?
concern ko po is 2 months pa unit ko pero daming vibration sa ilalim tas kanina ko pa na realize ang central window lock nia ayaw pala gumana :( sira pala d nla na check sa dealer.. tas parang vibration ng glass sa windows right side ang lakas tas sa aircon vent sa left side driver meron screw vibration .. not really happy sa unit to be honest

Better pa check mo sa dealership kasabwat. Based sa info mo mukhang may mga maluwag hindi nahigpitan. Like sa ZS namin nong nakuha ko ang luluwag ng plastic knot sa ilalim ng fender kaya kapag nadaan sa humps at lubak ang ingay na may kumakalampag. Pero after ko mahigpitan ok na.

Salamat sa panunood at sa feedback kasabwat! Moisture or Condensation inside headlights is not uncommon and it's not something to worry about. It is a normal occurrence. This is because modern headlight housings aren't sealed airtight. Ventilation passages are built into the headlight housing to let moisture in and out. The purpose of these vents are to allow pressure and/or temperature differences between the inside and outside of the housing to more or less equalize so they won't lead to the bulb and/or the housing itself from developing fissures and malfunctioning.
When there is a variance in temperature between the outside and the inside of the headlight housing such that the external temperature is lower than the interior of the housing, precipitation will usually occur inside. Once the external temperature rises, the precipitation will evaporate and your headlamps will clear up
Normal wear and tear ng isang machine. For me minors lang mga yan. Wala pa aq nakikitang sasakyan regardless kung anong brand after 1 year walang wear and tear.

sir thanks for sharing your reviews about the car. I'm planning to buy also MG, for me i preferred the toyota rush or expander but my partner wanted this car because of the specs such as the looks and maintenance. Im in doubt right now, anyways let me see if i can convince him to change his mind.

Seryoso ba ? Mas matagtag ang crossover kesa sa SUV ? Baka depende sa brand
Para sakin kasi kasabwat yong definition ko ng matagtag is how the tagtag coming from tyre and suspension impact the whole body ng sasakyan based on my experience I think because of the not sophisticated and very standard suspension at rigid unibody ng crossover mas ramdam sa body ng sasakyan, unlike sa mid size SUV which uses ladder frame, at mas maganda ang mga suspension, I believe in between ng chasis at body may damper sya kaya hindi ganon ramdam sa body ang impact ng tagtag. Pero may mga consideration din ang brand at kapal ng gulong. Like sa Subaru forester it has good suspension kaya smooth ang ride.

Same here. Yang dalawang yan ang pinagpipihihan ko ngayon. Kung sa design di hamak na maganda ang KIA STONIC ang porma. Itong MG naman habol ko lang ung taas nabubuksan haha. Ang hirap pumili sa dalawa di ko alam kung ano ang pipilihin ko. Any suggestions po ba? Para makatulong skin thanks po.

Di po normal yung moist sa headlight. Yan yung problem po sa mga dealership sasabihin na normal lang kahit hindi. Prang may maraming issues po sa unit niyo.
