- Knowing you're exploring country that can produce multiple species of upland birds in a single hike is always exciting.
We head just north of our home state for an exploratory hunt and find covey after covey of huns, a couple mile high sharptail grouse and a chukar from who knows where!
Some great dog work, shooting and birds were enjoyed on this hunt. We hope you enjoy watching!

Just found this channel. Really wonderful content. Thank you.
I’m in SW Idaho and I got 6 California quail on my property today. No dog. Just me and some patience. I’m older. Can’t get up into those big hills anymore, but you adapt and keep going.
I look forward to seeing more content.
God bless.
absolutelly fine fine , great mr matt
Too FUN! Matt and Gmoney
I loved the fancy foot work to get the sharpie to flush!
Shake n bake brother 😅
This was a fun one, loved the vibe. Well done guys.
@@allegedlyhandy means a ton my man! Thank you!! 👊🏼
I kept thinking as i watched, " this guy is very chill." Even the dog was a bit laid back. Then the closing comment explained it. You've been hitting it hard for big game. So what a great "day off"!!! Good for you. 👊🏼👍🏼🤙🏼
@@shaneclark207 thank you! My speed doesn’t change much lol the dogs just run better as the season goes. Looking forward to the cooler months ahead!!
Perfect jawline, perfect dog, perfect shooting, perfect linguist, but the most of all the best pack for everyone in the universe, including He-man and Superman. You know it all. Thanks
@@Chukartramp biggest compliment I’ve ever received lol! Thanks so much. Really appreciate you!
What a day! Nice side by side, looks great in the field.
@@DCbell5 thank you! It’s a fun one to carry and shoots well too!
Payed for the whole seat, only needed the edge. That Chief dog is a baaaaad man. What a beautiful ode to some special birds. Well done amigo.
@@borderland_upland always so grateful for ya brother! Was tickled pink to use what I learned from you and find that final bird. Couldn’t have wiped the smile off my face with 200 grit sand paper!
Love these films! Looking forward to many more
@@jaredburkey8 means a ton brother. Thank you!!

Great video, that GSP was working that terrain! Is that a model 23 Winchester 20 gauge your packing?
Great 👍🏼. The way it should be. 👌
@@robertomesquita4019 100% brother! Couldn’t agree more 👊🏼
I didn’t know you all had Sharpies. That’s an awesome day.
@@jacobzirkle9153 went north for the afternoon :)
Great job with the quick videos of your hunts.
@ thanks brother! Having a fun time sharing them
What is your side by side? I recently bought an lc smith 16 ga. Featherweight manufactured in the 30s. Love it. Yours looks really nice. I like the English stock. Nice vid.
I had a “it’s just a bird” moment with myself yesterday.. pulled the trigger on a quail in thick mesquite.. as I’m doing so I told myself not to because he was going to end up in that mesquite.. well, I’m scratched up today because I couldn’t walk away from a dead bird!
@@Beaman76 hard to leave what ya work hard for! Doesn’t always shake out but man it’s rewarding when you put that extra effort in and can hold that bird in your hand. Awesome work making it happen 👊🏼
Totally off topic... how do you like that soft cover truck cap? Debating getting one for my F250.
@@williamjohn3394 I really like it. I’ve had the normal shells before but they’re a pain to store and access, unless you spend a lot for all the bells and whistles. I can access any part of my bed, take it off when I need my truck to do “truck stuff” and it stores in the corner of my garage. Doubt I’ll ever have a hard shell again 👍🏼
