I bought one of these 10 years ago or so and it's just an amazing knife. I recently bought the full size version which is also just an overwhelmingly awesome knife.
I love Ka-bar, definitely my favorite fixed blade knife brand. I just wish I could get a combat knife with the cutting ability of my opinel pocket knife
I heard Custom Sheath. Where abouts do you get yours? I found a couple of Kydex sheath makers in the US, but none can ship it to me in Singapore. Absolute bummer.
I’m a Tanto fan myself. I have the Japan made Cold steel san mai III, just got a Russian Kyzlar Tanto, and will be getting this KA BAR short Tanto. I also collect double edged daggers.
To the guy that asked you "why do you need something like that?!" I have a response that I tell anyone who ask me that when it comes to my EDC knife or when it comes to my rifles or just anything I choose to own as a American, " well Fortunately for me It's called the Bill of Rights not the Bill of Needs" just thought I'd share my favorite response. Looks OK,, but the Kobun would be the choice for me,,, I already have a Glock 78, which beats this hands down (imho), and is maybe better balanced for throwing, (just guessing),, All the best from across the pond.... John..

@@411Outdoors They're not "full tang", but there's loads of TH-cam videos showing how tough they are, and guys throwing them, the handle and sheath are made of the same stuff as the guns !!.. And they have a bottle opener too,, ha ha ha,, Cheers, 🍻 John
Tennessee has no regulation on knives which I love. Even OTF switchblades are legal, which is super scary to politicians and misinformed people. Don't have to worry about it being legal or not if I see a knife I want. I just bought this Kabar and im gonna start carrying it around a bit. So far I like it, might throw a small knife in the back pocket for smaller tasks though.
Great vid as usual! In my experience, after going through kabar and esee and tops knives etc; I've settled on the $35 Glock 81 knife as the ultimate survival/weapon blade. And there's a trick to modify the sheath to make it easy to draw the blade one handed. Just a suggestion
i am a tanto man myself, great vid/content , keep em coming brotha ! , would love that in partial serrated blade though ?, i love all flippers/folders like this too around 3.5" or larger , hey k.i.t. bro > tom !

@@tomquirin4231 I need to check the lumens on the torch light that I have. It’s a tactical flashlight that I got sent from spybriefing gear but I don’t think it’s as bright as what you’re looking for. I reviewed it a few weeks back
@@411Outdoors hey brotha, do they have a site/y.t. channel link ?, never heard of them ! , on my person , i daily carry a klarus g15 / 4000 lumen tactical light , and my work/travels i carry a thru-nite 1100 lumens tactical light ! , mine are mostly used for defensive purposes , on my g15 , i can strobe for over 2hrs straight , its really crazy at 4000 lumens , its like arc weld flash, yea let me know brotha , maybe we can work on something ?, > tom !

KA Bar makes a kydex sheath for that knife. You can can get one for about $20.

That is a full length tang but it’s not a full tang. Disappointed.
