I've always felt that, even though the Huxtables are a fictional family, they set a fine example of family life...the kids aren't perfect, the parents disagree, they run into normal family type problems, but they show us that there are better ways to deal with things, other than screaming, swearing, drinking, drugs, and divorce. The kids have respect for their parents, the parents listen to the kids (usually!), and no problem is too big that it can't be overcome. And a very important thing, even though everyone has their own things going on, they still manage to find time together as a family and to enjoy each others' company. A good example to strive for in our own families.
The chemistry theses two had was crazy thick. U can feel it from ur t.v. that these two characters loved each other, u really don't see that type of chemistry on television anymore. Its kinda like a template for husbands on how to treat ur wife and vice versa.
Kings and Queens WE grew up on this and even if you didnt see this in your parents, they set a great blueprint for us. Lets stop degrading ourselves brothers and sisters.
I love that Claire spoke in Spanish. She could have said, "my dog needs a bath" in Spanish, and it would have turned Cliff on. lol, The Huxtables were the best. :)
Phylicia and her sister Debbie are the LITERAL reasons why even to this day I still have a VERY STRONG ATTRACTION TO OLDER WOMEN (with bedroom-eyes and sophistication & class). I was 8 when I first saw Debbie, she was playing in "Jojo Dancer Your Life Is Calling", and at that time I considered both of the Allen Sisters my "dream girl" - now today at 41yrs old I'm just now realizing that I've never dated a woman my own age, and EVERY woman I've ever dated has looked and carried themselves almost exactly like Phylicia & Debbie... It's clear to me now that my feelings for them were more than just a childhood crush, it was #TrueLoveAtFirstSight-TWICE:-)
You have to work for it, a good marriage is not luck! My husband and I just celebrated our 23rd anniversary, we have two teenagers at home, and our relationship is better thsn ever! It's always been good of course, but it just get better as the years go by!!

for some reason watching this show , they seem more real as if there is no script. the show actually portrays real life situations
