This video is excellent. My dryer was slightly different and needed 6 rollers. I also replaced the tension roller and it’s now quiet. Hardest part was mine is stacked in a closet. I used 1”pvc pipe as Egyptians and a block of wood with a long piece of wood to lever it up and roll it out. But everything they demonstrated was right on. Thanks for this great video.
It's one of the best formats for instructional videos I have come across! Thanks for the help!

Great video. The back left roller on my dryer had failed and broken off entirely. Insane you have to practically disassemble the whole unit to fix this issue.
Pro-quality video, thx for including reassembly and not just saying "reverse of disassembly". I have a tip for others - the 17 mm nuts holding the rollers are on are surprisingly tight, and on the first one the torque I applied readily bent the thin sheet metal the roller is mounted to. I found it easy to be gentle enough by extending the length of my wrenches with cheater-pipes/bars.
This video was perfect! I was able to disassemble my Samsung dryer and replace all four rollers (one of which had totally disintegrated), the belt, and the pulley arm and now it is as good as new again! This was the difference between a $40 repair kit from Amazon plus some time versus a $200+ house call plus having a stranger in my home during the pandemic.
Thanks!

EXCELLENT VIDEO. Mine was a touch different but I managed to replace all 4 rollers and a new tensioner in under 2 hours. It was just as easy as you made it look. I saved myself many dollars and made the Wife and my ears very happy. Thanks so much. GREAT JOB.
How technically savvy are you? Just wondering about the timeline if two hours will be roughly what it’ll take me.
@@gusus4422 2-3 I'd guess. It took me less but I've done it before.
I followed your instructions and was able to fix my dryer. Thanks! I bought a kit on Amazon and was able to replace the rollers, the tension wheel and the belt, thanks to you. Now, she purrs like a kitten!
Thank you so much for making this video. I was able to replace my drum rollers, the belt and the pulley. The main difficulty I had was removing the existing drum rollers, the nut and bolt were extremely tight. Overall the step by step was easy to follow and my dryer is back to a quite hum.

Thanks so much. This made the process of replacing a broken rear roller exceptionally easy!
Awesome video. My drum stopped rolling (jammed completely), and after viewing the video i took the dryer apart and found that the rear roller was jammed. After some WD-40 lovin', it was moving freely; I re-assembled the dryer (including the tricky part where you have to re-mount the belt on the motor drive), and I was done!! I had to re-view the video a couple of times, but this saved me a week (in wait time for a repairman) and $250 easy!
This video is just excellent in quality and accuracy. Easy to follow step-by-step. As others have said, it is unfortunate that Samsung is such crap that one NEEDS to continuously buy and install replacement parts. I had to replace my motor 1st (again video was great), then 2 weeks later the belt broke. I decided this time to replace the rollers as well, just as PM. One or two were a bit sticky/sluggish, so maybe I saved myself a 3rd round of tearing the whole thing apart and putting back together. Thanks so much for producing these helpful videos!
Thank you so much. You saved me at least 200-250 dollars. After seeing your video I was able to do it myself. Had I tried by myself, I could never have removed things in the right sequence.
I did not expect this to be so easy. Thank you for these videos! Part DC93-00634a was broken in my drying. Now it is not noisy and works fine. I spent like $11 to fix it. Thank you so much again!
Excellent video, helped me tremendously. I ordered a full parts kit from Amazon (front & rear rollers and tensioner) and once torn down it turned out to be the tensioner making all the noise. Even though the rollers were fine I figured while in there so I replaced them as well. Thank you!
I was able to slip my 17mm wrench in and replace the rear rollers without removing the rear bulkhead. Held the nut with the 17mm and tighten with the 8mm.
Excellent video! Very clear step by step instructions. Thanks a lot!
Good and clear directions. I was able to replace the rear rollers. I also changed out the belt pulley that was destroyed when the roller failed. Thank you.
Great video! saved me a ton of time and money replacing my rollers
Great video super easy to follow and do, took me about 40 mins, but saved me over 200 dollars
Thank you for the video - just replaced all 4 of my rollers today with no issue. Quiet dryer again!!
Spot on! This video really simplified things and made me feel absolutely proper when I put it all back together again.
Thank you for this very helpful video. It took me a little while, but my dryer is running quietly now.
Thank you so much! You just saved me over 200 dollars. My wife and I did this ourselves!
Wait you’re saying someone would come fix mine for $200??? I’m in.
While you are at it, I'd go ahead and replace the dryer belt too. These videos are very helpful. I'd also use an air compressor / dry vac to clean out dirt / dust from all parts especially the heating element.
This was great. Saved me hundreds in repair! Thanks so much!

I appreciate the detailed step by step video. I fixed my machine. Thank you so much
Thanks for this video. I bought a maintenance kit and this is just the video I needed.
Excellent video. I got the back rollers without having to remove the rear plate as well. Hardest part was doing it in the closet and getting the top off.
Amazing video well explained, thanks to your channel lot of people can replace their dryer instead of having to buy new one

Outstanding video. It saved me a service call. Thank you.
The bracket at 4:50- this is important, and the washer. I did not line the bracket up properly and I burned up another roller in less than 6 months. It helps with weight distribution- as my symptom was loud noise and quiets up after it spins a few times/balances. Thank you for helping me fix it right the third time. And thumbs down to Amazon generic rollers, you want ones with the wrench grip / black steel. Any that are chrome/shiny are junk IMO.
Yes, Thank you for your great repair videos. 7 rear bulkhead screws on my Samsung & the water line was 7mm in diameter.
Great video, made the process very easy. Dryer was slightly different, but this helped tremendously.

I'm in FL and I was so worried to put a Harris sign in my yard because I didn't want people to hurt me. I should not have to worry about that. It's a shame
Video looks easy. I am starting this project in the couple of days. I’ll let you know how it works out.
Giving you a sub and a "bell" for the money saving video; I don't own this model, but the concepts will get me across the finish line with our Samsung dryer. What annoy me is that the repair guy was here in August and had this thing torn apart but didn't think to check the other parts that wear out.

very useful video. THANK YOU.
Thanks for posting this video. I noticed that you did not put any lube on the roller axles before installing. Are these roller wheels really supposed to run dry? I am asking because my rollers seem to only last about a year before they go bad. I tried putting high temp grease on the rollers but the grease does not seem to last. I checked the rollers about 5 months after greasing them and there was not very much grease left on the axles. Does not seem to be a very good design if I need to do this much work to keep the dryer running…
Thanks for the great video! I replaced one of the rollers in my 3.5 year old Samsung today. The lower rear roller was trashed. The other 3 were fine. The new rollers that I got from Amazon do not roll as freely or as quietly as the the remaining three in the dryer. Is there a good quality roller that actually has bearings? These rollers are simply metal turning on a metal shaft. It's not going to last any longer than the original. Thanks!
Search Samsung dryer roller replacement kit on Amazon and you will find the identical rollers as your original ones
Thank you for this video.
this helped me fix my moms dryer! thank you
Thank you so much, I don't know how I could have done this without this video. Also, this product is a cheap piece of crap and they're customer service is rude and very unhelpful.
VERY helpful! thanks for doing this video.
This video may help me but at the moment I am trying to remove the control panel. It is not as easy as you show in the video as I am afraid of breaking the tabs or doing further damage.
Do the rollers have movement or are they supposed to be in one olace
Merci beaucoup
Gteat video. Thanks
thank you !
Can I send my link and then your post below?
Right on.
Thanks.
Just wanted to see if the reason for swapping the rollers is because your dryer is making a loud noise as soon as it starts and looks like it is spinning slower?
Yes. At first it was quite like it was new and now it's making the same noise. I replaced everything but the idler pulley. Could that be the cause?
I've replaced all 4 rollers, tensioner/pulley, and belt. Dryer is still making a squeaking noise. Granted, not nearly as bad as before. Can anyone tell me what they think would be the cause. Thanks
i had a heating element break which i just fixed. my drier isnt getting hot a week after repkacing. i noticed that my rear roller was off. is it possible that the roller being broken affected the heating element ?
How'd they get Jim Gaffigan to narrarate this?
Awsome Video, Tons of help.
Can you repair a dryer while it’s stacked ??
We usually don't recommend it for safety reasons.
Thanks. However I was able to repair while it was stacked !
are the rollers the same type for both the front and rear and are they sold in sets? like one set for the front and one set for the rear. from the videos i can see there are four rollers, two in front and two rear. would you advise replacing all four?
+Vincent Soliva It varies from model to model.
Replace all rollers since you have access to all rollers. You'll be glad you did.
In the Samsung dryer in the video and the one I have at home the rollers are all the same kind and size, I replaced all of my rollers at the same time along with the idler pulley and arm, as well as the belt. This got rid of all the noises. Since I had access to the inside of the dryer, I cleaned it all out as there was a lot of lint in mine. It is working like brand new now. No longer have to wait for everyone to be awake to dry my clothes. Noise.. all gone!!
Thanks for the video. It helped me take my dryer apart and put it back together as well as replace the parts!
@@BOSS_DOG I know ive done this four times alredy and am up for a fifth time each time the noise is louder and louder. Of course once i replace all four of the rollers and the pulley all the noise is gone again. It is a pain in the bottom to keep having to do this. I am a female and my warranty worn out before the third time or eles they would have had to replace my whole washer. I wish I had the Sears warranty since it would have been replaced for sure by then but they were smart enough not to carry the brand I had ordered. ANyway, im thinking of just getting a whole new washer put it on warranty so it wont be my prolem anymore for at least another 5 years.
Do you need to lube rollers
Ty
How do I know if it's the front roller, rear roller and whether it's one, two or more that are bad and need to be replaced?
replace them all once your in there. the rollers are not much
Why does the dry have a water hose connection if you are trying to dry cloth not wash them again
it is a steam feature on some models
I replaced mine but the dryer is now noisier than ever. It runs rough. Was I supposed to lube it?
Brill, thanks a lot!
what kind of noise does this remedy? there is no mention of that.
how do I know if it's the front or the back roller??
replace the first ones as those are very easy to acess, if that does not solve the problem then do the pulley as well, if still you have noise,.,... then it is the back ones. Save money by purchasing the 4pack rollers in one bag or else you will be charged double.
Man fml. First the idler pulley melted off so I ordered that to replace it. I install the new one and it spins again but is still making an extremely loud grinding noise. I decide to take the whole thing apart and one of the back drum rollers middle section has been grinded down so bad it's barely hanging on. Now I needed to order a new drum roller! 😢
We are sorry to hear that. A pulley shouldn't melt inside the dryer. Make sure that your dryer is getting enough air flow and isn't overheating. Make sure that the dryer belt is installed correctly. It should have tension, but not be too loose, nor too tight. There shouldn't be a noise when you install a new part.
I'd like to see rear roller replacement, when it's gas, instead of electric.
“Secure the shaft as you tighten the nut”
😅😅😅
As others have commented, you are buying junk!! I can't believe the rollers don't have bearings. I thought the first roller I took off was locked up but come to find out they all are just steel on steel... really!!!! Yup, no bearings. And another design defect, The washers for roller shaft (bolt) is much to large. As a result, the shaft (bolt) can be attached at a slight angle which will accelerate the problems you will already have due to the rollers that spin hours and hours and hours.... with no bearings. I replaced the washer between the bearing shaft and sheet metal that actually to fix that issue... I will never buy another Samsung appliance as long as I live. Unbelievable.
Sounds
Older standard dryers are 100% easier
Samsung appliances are sub standard.
I purchased a dryer and the drum weld failed after just 1 year and 4 months. If you google Samsung Dryers there are numerous complaints that can be found about the drum, wish I saw these 1.5 years ago. I sent an email and of course hears nothing from the company. I will never buy another Samsung product again.
ya i bought a washer dryer front load combo, already lemoned out the washer for a GE(working great) and the dryer is now out of warranty and being obnoxious as hell. Samsung TVs are nice, appliances can go down the road in a rear load compacting truck xD
why is there a water line in a DRYER?
For the steam option.
steam dryers...
Samsung dryer sucks.once it start z noise there is lots of issues following to it thou you keep fixing it.
Fantastic video. I have a different model, but this rundown of what I can expect is invaluable.

_Thanks again!_
Samsung quality control is non-existent these days. Just purchased a brand new higher end Bespoke washer/dryer set and immediately off the truck the unit's roller wheel is defective. Hours and hours dealing with their worthless customer support to fix a simple problem and nothing is easy with them. Look elsewhere if you want a good experience.
