Panacea is my wife’s home town. We have a little place down there that we go to quite often to just get away. There’s a restaurant in Panacea called Angelo’s seafood. I’ll tell you a little story about Angelo’s. Part of the restaurant is built out over the water in the Ochlocknee Bay. That bridge separates Wakulla county and Franklin county. When the restaurant was built, Wakulla county was a dry county. (A county where it was against the law to sell alcoholic beverages) but Franklin county wasn’t. The guy that built the restaurant, built part of it out over the water so that he could register the restaurant in Franklin county and serve alcoholic beverages in his restaurant. (True story)
I'm moving to Panacea in the morning!! By the way, I designed and manufacture a modular outrigger kit that would totally change your canoe into a mini pontoon boat. Check out www.expandacraft.com perhaps I will see you in my new town one of these days. I'll take you out on one of my electric glide outrigger skiffs.
Hard head & sailfin cats are trash fish here, redfish & speckled trout are better choices, and your black drum have too many worms to eat, the trout here usally are wormy too.

Looks like a fun boat enjoy the area should find good fish eventually if you live there

Good to know. I did catch one trout on a top water lure. It’s hard when it’s all new
