Multi Day Fishing Derby, Panacea Florida

I'm from Wakulla county. I hate that Tim got poked by that dang catfish. I'm also a nurse practitioner and I've sadly seen some horrible infections from catfish barbs on hands, some resulting in lost fingers, and lost hands via necrotizing fasciitis. Most of those patients had some sort of comorbidity such as a compromised immune system or diabetes, but it certainly can happen with a healthy person, with the right circumstances. Vibrio is a common culprit for infections in these injuries, and is a very nasty bug. I'm so glad that Tim was ok afterward! They are pesky critters for sure, and love to steal bait! Is Panacea located near Tallahassee, as in the Tallahassee Metro Area? I am originally from Paris, France but I now live in Tallahassee, FL. Therefore, I am French-American since my family is from Paris, France but I now live in the Tallahassee, FL, USA.

Yes, south of Tallahassee, maybe 30 miles or so due south. Definitely head there, lots of history in the region.
