This is the best video I've seen so far on repairing a Force 10 stove. I had to figure out how to disassemble and repair ours on my own and wish I'd had this as a primer. Ours is an older stove, apparently Force 10 changed burner designs 3-times in the last 3 decades, but the idea is the same. It's great to de-mistify repairing these stoves as there's no one out there to do it for you when you're cruising. I have heard of a shop that would rebuild one in Langkawi, Malaysia but that's about it. Even though our stove is older and the burners and valves are different, I feel confident we'd be able to replace those components with new should we need it. In the meantime keeping it clean and the valves working is all it needs.
hi, thanks for the video, been looking for help &parts this will help check what i need to fix the small brner stoped for no reason, will open it up and see, thanks i may be back,!!, jt
Thank you for the compliment ☺️ We bought a marina in North Carolina last year so we are stateside for a couple years. Hoping to get some cruising in when we can. Check out the marina Marinecraftnc.com
Interesting video. I am sure glad I do NOT own one of these things ! The siamesed tubes of the gas manifold with hose pipe joints, and the rather enclosed "bomb" design of the cook top.. .scares me witless ( spell that anyway you like). It is fine to add all sorts of safety features to a stove.. ( thermocouple burner shut off for example) but that does no good, if the construction introduces serious safety concerns.. soft aluminum and multiple dissimilar metals in a salt water environment, and the manifold construction are just two.. and I am sure there are more with this overpriced kluge . Force 10 / West Marine .. Dangerous Fail ! Who puts a ferrous nut on a bronze valve body with a copper gas line and ferrule ?? Force 10 that's who .
Yes, I have had endless problems with mine, and now cannot open the thing to repair it at all, now that the top burner screws are seized into the hex nuts, which are also seized into the backing plate. Hopeless design. But what is the alternative? Any other manufacturer to consider?

What part of North Carolina are you guys located at?
Use silicone grease and it won’t dry out like white grease and gum things up.
