Frieren has lived over a thousand years. Kraft, as far as even manga readers can guess, is in the 2,000 to 5,000 years old range. . . . . . . . The oldest elf is another female who's well over 10,000 years old( who knows how old she could possibly be? Just extremely, EXTREMELY ancient)and remembers when humans started developing agriculture and civilization. She says a mere 1,000 years like Frieren says a mere 10 years. Serie is the oldest elf we've met in the manga and is nearly as powerful as a goddess (practically worshipped as one even)
@@bernieburton6520 The other elf lived in the Mythical era when the goddess was still alive/around. Kraft was born later enough that the goddess had turned to a "fairytale" and initially he did not believe in her. The Goddess of creation was last seen during the Mythical Era when she delivered the scriptures 1500 years ago. If my estimates are correct, then Kraft shouldn't be over 1490 years old at best. Frieren should be around 1000-1100 The other elfs age is an unknown, we know she was around during the Mythical era, but we don't know how long the Mythical era lasted, if there was an era before that and if the other elf was there from the get go.
@@reignmans The 1500 years ago is from when Frieren was traveling with Himmel's party. So it's ~1600 years from the present day in Frieren's world. Another thing is, Kraft may have lived in the Mythical era but simply never run into the Goddess. There may have been a rumor of a Goddess but when Kraft finally decided to go and see her, he might have been told "oh, she has left this world by now". That would make him skeptical, right? Imagine an immortal that has lived for 3000 years in our world. If they didn't travel Middle East 2000 years ago, Jesus would be a myth for them too. But it's guesswork, so yeah, we don't really know how old Kraft might be. His heroic deeds happened after the Goddess considering his companion.

Would be cool if Frieren can in Aureole talk with the Son from Count Granat. I love the science-based facts used in this show. Heiter in German is also a way to describe the "Himmel" A blue heaven without any cloud is "Heiter". Probably one reason why they used Heiter beside Himmel. It fits perfect. For my opinion (you also realize it) this episode is the beginning of the progression of Frierens feelings and how to handle with them. She smiled more often.
Frieren hasn't done much with her life before joining the Heroes party. She was living peacefully in her village until the Demon King's army general attacked it, then she met Flamme and continued her mana control training for 500+ years being lowkey... finally she met Himmel & crew.
It is said that Frieren was the strongest of her village, so clearly she has something to tell. Like, why was she the strongest? she is young, so why adults were weaker than her? how come she had more mana than others and what was she training for to be the strongest of all? So yes, we know Frieren was living in a village "peacefully" and that she is under 2000 years old, but it doesnt answers who were her parents, why was she the strongest of the village at such a young age, was she just born with amazing talent or was she training for something?
@nyanmaruunlocked399 That's true, there's obviously a story to be told about Frieren before she met Flamme, but they emphasized the 10 years journey so much and Frieren was a child in the village... which would answer Kraft's question.
@@nyanmaruunlocked399Its probably talent. Because Flamme despite being human that is literally a fraction of frieren age, already have massive ammount of mana. I doubt she train all that much, train ? Maybe. But being an elf that is so stoic most of the time (its likely only frieren, she's autism coded lol, bcs the other elf seems normal) and not battle minded like her kept her "not as strong as she should be"
@@stewart1555 Yes, a child that is stronger than all elfs on her village, so that itselfs creates a lot of questions. I think Kraft was asking more about her family, were was she born and stuff like that, which is the most common things ppl ask about to eachother in a casual conversation, however didnt seem Frieren wanted to answer that.
no Freiren never changed her answer, the plan this whole time has been to go to heaven so clearly she believes it exists but she still doesnt believe in the goddess.
I always enjoy watching your videos, Jackie-san and Debi-chan. Recently, TH-cam's automatic translation has only been in English, so I hope they'll add Japanese as well like before. Thank you.
Hi! Thanks for watching. The translations are automatically generated from TH-cam. It might not be available right away so if you check back, hopefully the option will be there ☺
Frieren doesn't really have much to tell. She is young and relatively in experienced because she did what Flamme told her to do and live in obscurity until she defeats the Demon King.

Ehm, if you had paid more attention to the Kraft's dialogues, the answer is very very simple...

Kraft's eyes. There is so much sadness and quiet warmth in them!
I love the music break in this episode, that’s something that isn’t done nearly enough in anime. Really amplifies the feelings

It was already stated a couple episodes that elves don’t have romantic feelings, so no Kraft and frieren won’t have that type of relationship
excited for you to watch episode 14

0:38 The scale worth nothing, useless. It's just a tool powered by Aura's specialized magic. Without that magic it's just an ordinary scale.
Without Aura's magic the scales would be just like any other ordinary non magic scales! They're useless!

No no no no no. Keep your hands off Frieren! Mr Monka.
Heiter taught his child = Fern to suppress her mana.
