The Martinus DC locomotives on the move!

On Monday 10th of July 2023, I have decided to go out and catch a rare sighting in action in Wellington. The Martinus Rail DC locomotives 4571 & 4041 have been brought by train 225 but arrived really late on an early Sunday morning due to a confirmed issue that occurred in Hamilton. They are back from "across the ditch" and have been brought from Auckland to Wellington in order to be transferred to Hutt Workshops on Q4 shunt for recertification and worn-out part repairs so that they can be used on our railway network once again. As I mentioned earlier about the issue that happened in Hamilton, train 225 has stood in Palmerston North for a little while and the estimated arrival to Wellington was 3 am. On Monday the DL leads Q4E shunt to Hutt Workshops with DC's on the move, transferred from the exchange sidings in Wellington's railway yard.
Covering up the information about the Martinus Rail, Martinus is the company that has the contract to do track work for Auckland's City Rail Link. They bought four DC's a few years back and sent them to Australia to build a new proposed line. Then two of these DC's have returned from their trip to work here, and that is speaking of 4571 & 4041!
I enjoyed making this video and we're hoping to see Martinus around the country, and I'm sure that's the case for many trainspotters out there, seeking an opportunity for it !!!
