Did this last year, definitely a cool little side-of-the-road stop. Taking the step-kid to Utah this year and this is definitely a cool stop for kids. Very easy. Also just a tip, little bit up the road in Orderville right on rt89, stop at Joe's rock shop for a damn good cup of coffee if you got the jones for some caffeine.
We are glad that you got to enjoy it! Did you hike further in after the tunnel? We want to go back and do that. Thank you for the pro tip! We will hit that coffee spot next time as well!
@@LiveThatAdventure We went about halfway thru, there were too many people there last year. Just got back from Kanab a week ago and took the kiddo, he loved it and was kinda scared at the same time. We planned to do a few things that day and decided to hit the nautilus as well, since it was getting close to noon we didn’t spend too much time at the belly. Also side note, not sure if you guys are aware of this road, but a bit past the toadstool hoodoos on 89 headed towards Page, there is Cottonwood Canyon Rd. I believe it was just under 50 miles, it was beyond gorgeous.. takes you right into Cannonville/Tropic rt 12, right into Bryce Canyon. Not to mention cottonwood canyon narrows are back there too. Lots of bentonite tho, so definitely watch the weather. Very easy road, little bumpy but amazing views. Take care guys ✌🏼
@@angelzaragoza9952 we can see that too! 🤣🤣 It is a fun little stop and since it is almost directly outside of the parking area, it is worth checking out. 😎🤙
Would you say it's possible to visit hauling a camper (We're getting a new one, possibly 30ft or less)?? We're planning on stopping by before heading to Zion but wondering about parking 😬 TIA!
I have a feeling that you could park on the shoulder there. Your only challenge might be getting turned around when you go to leave. We are actually shooting in Zion right now :-)
Hey man great video but can you please not promote it i mean i get ot but further down that same dirt road is our privately owned family ranch and there is lots of tourists that come onto our property because they need a place to park or camp or follow us through looking for more hiking i get it that you want to show but ot gets annoying for our family since their used to be no one there
I totally agree that it's not enough for the drive by itself. But there are a ton of other neat things to do nearby. When you add all of that it becomes way more worth it.
To each their own. Some people enjoy taking photos of the landscape and their adventures, some people don't. Would you tell Ansel Adams to leave his camera and tripod home?
You're not in the same category as Ansel Adams and you're not strong enough to carry a Hasselblad camera as he did. Just stay in your own cellphone camera tourist lane. Save your vacation vids to bore your family and friends when you get back home.
Your channel is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! It is truly helping us plan our trip to the Southwest this summer.
Thank you so much Philip! We really appreciate that! We hope that you have an absolutely incredible trip!
Thank you for this! Very helpful!!
So glad we could help! If you are going to be in the area we highly recommend checking out the sand caves too. We have a video about it :)
Thanks for this video and your detailed description about visiting.
Glad to help! 😁
Enjoyed your video! Kanab is one of my favorite places to visit and photograph.
Thank you Bob! It's such a photogenic place! Beauty around every corner!
Nice video
Thank you!
Thanks for your video and all your information. Im planing to go there😍
It's a neat place! Have fun there!

Great video! Is it dog friendly?
Hello! Yes it is! The hardest part would probably be getting your pup down into the wash.
-Belly of the Dragon?! More like the Esophagus of the Dragon since it resembles you going down it’s throat. But I digress this is pretty cool looking.

Wow
I'd love to make out in there and see if my voise echoes
Now that you mentioned it, Im trying to remember how much it echoed in there. If ya get out there, let us know :)
Visited Belly Of The Dragon in 2021. If you keep going up the wash for what it feels like 3 or 4 miles you arrive to a small slot canyon 👍😎
That's awesome! We didn't have enough time to hike in, but we love slot canyons. Knowing this we will definitely hike it next time 😁👍
I wasn’t able to go too far into the slot canyon as pretty soon I hit a section that seem like you need ropes to climb up/down
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏼👍🏼
Is it safe for a normal 2-wheel drive car to go down this road or is it only for 4WD cars?
@@gifgif7625 I didn't think you should have any trouble getting there in a 2wd car. It's a regular dirt road if I remember correctly
Nice but not for a 9 hour drive from Colorado.

Being outdoors isn't all about getting a good photo lol. Leave the tri pod and just enjoy yourself shessh
