Mr. Clark - I've been afraid to say this online, but somehow gained the courage to send you this. I lost all of my family several years ago, my mother, father and 10 month old daughter all within a few months of each other, and it has caused me to have a lot of emotional issues similar to PTSD. Nightmares, flashbacks, etc. Sleep is often difficult for days at a time, so I sit up on those nights on TH-cam. I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter, I know that hurts bad and hits really hard. I would like to let you know that I have watched every one of your videos from start to finish. It takes my mind off of the things that hurt emotionally, and you kinda remind me of someone who had a positive influence in my life years ago. I am originally from Houston, but moved to western Middle Tennessee in 2020 and haven't looked back. The "memories" of Houston ended up being too much, so I decided to move someplace a little more quiet and peaceful. Basically, I just wanted to thank you for your videos. LOL While you were doing this trip I was taking care of my sister who had a kidney removed due to a golf ball sized tumor. She is doing fine thank the Lord and just found out it was benign so no chemo necessary. Remember all them crazies out there and be careful. Love and Prayers always.

Your math is spot on. I walked three and a half miles with a friend . And it took about an hour. My friend is not a fast walker at all. I struggled carrying my 5 year old son on my back for five miles especially on the inclines of the road and hills. Respect.

Another great one, Thanks. Just a bit of history on that line. It was built in 1901 from St Louis to Memphis and was the Frisco. It's main crew change point was at Chaffee for many years. The Northern part skirts the Mississippi river and would make a really cool hike as well. Really enjoyed this video. Keep em coming.

Brilliant, I watched and loved every second. I actually gave up watching a live football match so I could finish it. Those trains over there are insanely fkin long. I totally get the trek being used almost a mental healer, I done a similar thing when my younger brother passed. Sometimes you just need that headspace to work through things without the distractions of daily life. Your daughter was a very beautiful young lady, God rest her soul. I bet you used to make her laugh a lot, stupid dad jokes are the best 🙂 Can't wait for the next episode, thank you. ***Almost forgot to say, when you buy a new Gopro try and get one that's not stone fkin deaf 🤣

You're coming up on the spot where my great grandad got killed by a train. He passed out drunk on the tracks at night walking home on them from his hidden moonshine shack in the 40's. The joke in my family is that smoking killed him since an unlit strike anywhere match and a freshly hand rolled cigarette was found near the impact site. He most likely bent down to strike the match on the rail got dizzy and passed out and the train did the rest. He was buried in Portageville Cemetery in an unmarked grave about 500 yards from where he got hit. The little cabin he lived in was right next to the tracks at the south edge of Portageville near the graveyard on county road 204 where there is now a fenced in but defunct transformer yard just west of the tracks from what I have been able to geo locate from some old photos from back in the day. He was a character there very nefarious to say the least. Gambler, gunslinger, career moonshiner, suspected grave robber and had a tendency to marry women from wealthy families then piss away all their land and fortune and breed them until they die in childbirth.

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter as well. She looks like she was a good girl and not a nefarious asshole like my great grandad whom my family didn't even bother to shell out a few bucks for a headstone for. I lost my daughter too 33 years ago to a heart defect. My great grandad did breed 3 wives there to death that I know of. Had lots of kids and grand kids many of whom are probably still around there up and down those tracks that I don't even know anymore like I posted on one of your other videos. We might even be kin. You do look like my uncle Tandy in some of his old photos before cancer turned him into a slim Jim and finally took him in the 70's. If you have any O'Bannon, Brown, Dotson, Bozart, Belt or Lackey sir names in your ancestry we might be related.@@OutdoorsUnsupervised

Yes, it's ilegal to walk on the RR tracks there's a posted says $10,000 fine,if they catch you walking on them. it's private property.

Happy Canada Day Brandon - Super enjoying the first day of this trek. Question... if you were doing this again, would you stash more of your stuff (tent, sleeping bag etc) with your first supply cache? It would save you from having to carry it for the first day. The only down side is that if it got stolen you'd be in a pickle. Thanks for the video.

fan depends on the strength you use it on but high maybe 4 hours and medium maybe 6 and low 8 but you can also plug a power bank to it and runs all night

50 of 74 years a hobo. Rode lots of freight trains. Walked a fair amount of track for one reason or another as well. I know the flattest routes are usually railings. Is there any special reason you are hamming ( old old term for walking the rails ) ?

I say it the same both times in a row, sometimes it just does not catch the first time. I been usin' a go pro for over 5 years now and it just does not work all the time, believe me lol. I can actually say St Francis stop recordnin' and it will work. If I was writtin' it I would not use a comma and write it as "Go Pro stop recordin' " lol
