Very cool video, felt sorry for the defenders in the end 😂. Loved seeing the attack on that gate, never seen that before. Brutal fun video. Thanks Joe!
Joe after an decade of not having an pc I’ve finally gotten back into Rome 2 and I would like to share my first match replay because I believe it’s the perfect balance between cringe and spicy 😂
Hooray for the attackers! For It's so rare to see attacking factions win. These defenders are likely new players as they weren't more than good bump stops for the attackers.
Ansewers to youre questions: I would defend the gate with cheap units ( absorb ammo) to give youreself and allies to make a gigantic trap where the enemy archers cant reach you.And afther a while those archers have to comme down and there art will not shoot on there own units. Def had to keep there units as long as possible out of sight From the moment att archers comme down defenders controle the bottleneck . Ansewer to youre second question. I would shoot ad the elefants with rocks, rocks ar much more accurat .
how it typically goes is, they hold the gate with a few units, they get missile dominated and withdraw to the choke with the wall, we grind slowly with heavy infantry gaining ground, making space with archers, we tear the wall down, our forces surge through, blockage at 2nd tier, everyone else surge to 3rd while we still anchor 1st, our archers STAY on the hill where they reign uncontested overlooking VP, those archers never come down. (these are my friends and i've done this dozens of times with them)
This one was too rough of a watch. I think the defenders would be best servered to play through a campaign to practice tactics/terrain and experiment with all unit types and their ranges. Doing this would also serve as a way to slowly introduce all factions and their rosters. I feel it might be too early for them to go straight to multiplayers. It would certainly discourage me, when I first started
I agree with you to a point, but dipping your toes into the MP scene is something g everyone needed to do when they first started switching over from campaigns.
I think this was a troll game, ain't no way they were playing this seriously, I was laughing the whole time 😂

This is questionable and I’m here for it and now I am laughing uncontrollably at this this shouldn’t be this funny
never played the game but man am i loving these replay narrations. keep it up
Welcome aboard, bud 👍🏻

Hi Joe , it looks like the code to capture this city is cracked ! THANKS for posting this UNSEEN siege battle !

Looking at the factions and where the attackers set up, I'd have sent a whole army round the back, treat it as another level to be defended.
Yes, I do agree!
Cool vid Joe. Thanks. Leaves me wondering of explosive shot would find usefulness in setting elephants off.
You'd think it would, but last I saw it does not.
Great video!
I appreciate that, thank you!

UNSEEN BATTLE ! ! You got to see this 😵😵💫
major mistake i see is NOT trying to send cav upto the hill to take out the archers
Well, yes, but the attackers had cav up there as well.
@@joeonitproductionsi mean its worth a shot
This is true
these are my boys, trust me, dozens have tried and so few have succeeded

this is one of the weirdest sieges i have ever seen
Half way through the mess. So an usually grind fest for the defenders completely turned around. Maybe the defenders played this map the first time?
Have you thought of doing some total war attila online battles sometime?
I would love to cover more Atilla or even 1212. Do you have any battles by chance?
@joeonitproductions no sorry, I thought maybe you had some replays of epic moments?
@joeonitproductions also what is your favourite faction? Mine's the picts
@S69modelrailways I haven't played very much of Vanilla Atilla. Been more of a fan of modded.
@@joeonitproductions right that's fair, I haven't played any of the mods, but this one you mentioned does sound good, does it have scotland?
