If they are so good, why not adopt their experience and weapons. By the way, for Russian, more precisely Cossack flankirovka which is called dancing in this video , not a Turkish saber is used, but a sashka. The Russians borrowed this type of sword in the midle of 19th centuary from the peoples of Caucasus, not from Turks.
"Flankerovka" is note a dance. It is a kide of florishing exercice that has not any martial value. It's more about wrist flexibility and overall agility and speed. To call this phenomenon Russian is not entirely accurate, flankirovka is practiced among Cossacks, often on holidays and any solemn events. And yet: the Cossacks are not Turks, and in general they are not a nationality. In the Russian Empire in the end of 19th begining of 20th centuary, the Cossacks were a class whose main purpose was military service.
The thing that I observed here is that the Russian sword dance should be done individually and the Turkish requires an organised group to dance. Nice touch
Turks dance with swords as light as possible, but on the battlefield they were the fiercest individuals wielding swords to the enimies... Because obviously turks were not dancers they were warriors. So how can you expect them to be a good dancer.
My lord, help me if this isnt the most cringeworthy comment ive ever witnessed in my entire time here on youtube. Even surpassing albanian shitposting about illyrians and pyramids.
@Yusuf Sayan Yes, you right, some of our ancestors were turks, that's why cossacks used steppe nomadic taktics in battle. We also have slavic and circassian blood, as well many others. Cossacks were multicultural before it became mainstream :)
@Yusuf Sayan Yes, Kazkh = Cossack same word. I'm from Kazakhstan, btw :) You only wrong in 1 thing, that some countries in Russia are non-free. That's not true, coz everyone in Russia has the same rights and every republic has their own language and laws. Russian Turks, Caucasians, Mongols, Finns, etc. have no problem using their language and learn it at school unlike Kurds in Turkey.
@Yusuf Sayan No, man, they are not assimilated. Well, some people are, but in general they are not. If you go to Tatarstan, you'll see writings in two languages, school kids are learning both tatar and russian at school. If you go to Sakha, Tyva, Karachay, Bashkortostan, etc., you'll see the same. Do Kurdish kids get to learn kurdish at school? Or Laz kids? Do they study laz language?
