Even after two impeccable losses Cynic is still strong. I believe that Paul did his best, can't wait to hear whole record. Also, I want to admit that Matt Lynch did a great job on drums, Reinert would be proud. Thank you for checking it out
Cynic play the type of music that takes a little time to fully focus (pun intended) on to reveal its true colors. Multiple listens are in order. The music is so layered and beautiful in an alien way…brilliant band.
Even Paul's solo music where it's almost just his guitar, vocals and electro sonicscape noises...I find the same thing. I find that even when Paul takes it simple you just notice more and more through more listens. Hallmarks of brilliantly made music
I'm going to suggest The Warning. Their 2014 Enter Sandman cover went viral (22 million views) and got them noticed by Metallica, and now their new cover with Alessia Cara is on Metallica's Blacklist. But they had to hold back, being with Alessia, so I'll recommend 'Evolve' and 'Choke' from their 3rd album.

Cynic is so underrated.
This track is mindblowing, it's both heavy and calming, feels dissonant and yet it's so beautiful. Looking forward to this album!

Another vote for The Warning. Great band.
That poor man's head.
This was beautiful. Can't wait for a new release
