How do you get the volume and the look on looseness in the roots of your hair? My hair just goes either fully sleeked back or really bumpy and by the way my favourite was the second bun.
+Natalie Cardosi Hi Natalie, I pinch and pull the hair forwards at the very end (: I don't always do this but that's a great way to add volume without back combing (:
number 2 is so pretty, but I literally can't do it I swear you're literally blessed with making perfect messy buns cause the amount of times I have tried makes me wanna literally chop my hair off from all the knots I made LOL for sure did it wrong!
+Angelie Kurichh I wanted to do her up style that has the dutch fishtail braid on the side going down into bun #2 for an event...
The braid havent done it in a while but 2nd go got it how i wanted it - 4 hours later bun #2 = me with headache literally from pulling on my hair. it wouldn't even stay in place properly for me to get my bobby pins out and pin it...
Definitely love the second one!! Spent all my break time practicing it, and finally I made it! Thanks for the amazing tutorial.
What brand of hair bands do you use? I can't find ones that stretch that much and hold my hair in place! Thank you for this tutorial! :)

After crying and swearing for about 20 minutes I finally got it!!! Its just a bun, but yet SO HARD to make a good looking one! I think i need a drink now!

this was the most helpfull messy bun tutorial I have watched, I loved the 2nd one, it works great with my hair. My hair is the type that is so fine and slippery to work with and this is the only hairdo that my hair will hold. Thank You. Oh and I love it!!!

Thank you SO MUCH for this tutorial! I've been trying to replicate the second bun forever without ever succeeding. Now it finally makes sense how to twist both the rubber band and the hair into a part of the bun. Can't wait to try it!!!

Your video is very good....your explanations and demonstrations are clear....and you are a lovely girl. I actually like the look of the last bun best. It is not as large as the first two...and I like that it is set back a bit more. I can see this in a work environment....or even for my grand-daughter who is going "on point" in ballet this year. I like messy buns as well....but (IMO) the really large ones that are perched on top of a girl's head look like a UFO just landed there ;-) Could be my age....or perhaps young people look at a hairstyle differently. Keep doing what you love.....and wear what pleases YOU :-)

hi missy at school everyone love it soo much so I teeched them how to do it
I found my own ways of making messy buns, they look cool and work 300 times for me than all the buns from YT tutorials.
I find the bun is kind of loose - I have longer hair then you too and can do 2 tucks after the 2 pull through mini buns, 1 pulls all the way through to make a loop then the other is like your last tuck so i have like 4 buns.
but it feels loose and I started with a pony tail as my hair is so long. it was funny cos i was sitting in front of my comp trying to do this and instead of my thumb going from forehead to back my thumb was going the same direction as yours and i couldn't figure out what was wrong then i was like OMG idiot!! LOL

I have long thick hair. It’s really heavy. If I put my hair up when it’s still wet I have to use 2 elastics.
So wrapping once like that wouldn’t work for me. Would wrapping more than once help? Or any specific type of elastic help?
I have such a hard time with this because my hair is SUPER straight, like naturally straight hair and when I curl it and put hairspray after it just goes back to normal and when I try voluminous looks my hair looks SO flat

It doesn't matter when you do your messy bun , it matters when u remove the hair band and detangle the hair , after detangling your search bar's gonna be like *"how to stimulate hair growth in bald head"🤣🤣🤣*
problem is, i have weak roots, so if I were to tie & twist like that, I'd look a thousand hair strands each time XD (still gonna try it, looks great :P )

The second one is quite hard to understand and look good but when you understand it well already, it is going to look really good even without bobby pins

Finally, I got the first one......of course it is not perfect as yours. But it got worked out👍
LOVE that all of these require no backcombing, but #1 is my favorite. Had to make a few modifications as my hair is fine and needs the elastic to be twisted 3 times, so.....put hair up in high pony tail using a thick elastic band. Then hold the base of the pony tail with your non dominate hand and fan the hair around your fist. Take a second elastic and wrap it around the hair twice, placing it below the first band on each wrap. Now proceed with the instructions in Missy Sue's video. Loved this one so much I had to find a way to make it work for me. I have fine hair and have worn this style 4 or 5 times now and it not only stays in place all day with very little hairspray, the bun stays full looking. Thank you for the inspiration.

hi so I found that my hair wasn't doing the donut thing when I tried to do the 1st tutorial but if you wrap and twist the hat tie once around all the hair before laying the hair tie over to make the donut bubble, it kind of lifts the hair off the rest of your head and it forms a lot easier
I got a hair tie stuck In my hair trying to do one of these buns and had to go get it cut out so now my hair is short af. so be cautious if you have really thick hair plz
