I am a HUGE I love Lucy fan and they episode the go to the BD is my favorite. We decided while planning that there was other stops we wanted to make, but the day of our visit I was regretting not going. My husband took multiple suspicious ‘bath room breaks’ through out the day. Turns out he was going to the lobby to see if they could squeeze us in. An hour or so before park closing he it was a success and surprised me. We loved it!!
Love how you showed the sketches of Betty Davis followed by Joan Crawford during the opening shots ! Coincidence ? I think not ! One of golden Hollywood's greatest rivalries lives again !! 😁
Thank you for this video. I have never eaten at The Brown Derby but I may have to now. I love the golden era as well. I am An old soul and getting older lol 😂 I would love to try the dessert but am not a huge fan of grapefruit so scared I wouldn’t like it but it is so iconic.... 💕
Well, there are definitely other options besides the grapefruit cake for dessert that looked really good too; it's not going to be to everyone's liking. Hope you get to try Brown Derby, it's such a great spot!
Since you like the vibe and atmosphere of old Hollywood, if you’re ever in Burbank, CA area, go to Smoke House restaurant just west (if I remember the direction correct) of the Warner Bros Studios. I love Hollywood Brown Derby, too, and Smoke House was a legit amazing experience.
HBD is one of my absolute favorites too and agree they are one of the best spots with distancing of tables. Could really go for that burger for lunch today - sooo good! 🍔
I just did a video from there as well. I need to try that martini flight! I think the pomegranate would be my favorite but I love gin too. I had the classic Cobb Salad & Grapefruit cake and that sea salt butter was unique. :)
Another great vlog....thanks for brining us along. It all looked wonderful...must try the cake some time. So how many martinis were had during that lunch? Feeling no pain after lunch I suspect.... Good to see you enjoying the vacay!
Thanks, great review. I have never had their cake yet. However i did make it and my recipe the cake was too dry and not a light sponge either. Wish i could have your recipe. My version had thin slices of grapefruit in between the layers.
Every time my family and I go to HS, we always go to the Brown Derby for drinks and dessert. My wife and daughters love the Margherita flight. I love their Bloody Mary. Its all good! Awesome vlog guys. Can't wait for the next one. Hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving.
We’ve only been there once, but sat in the exact same booth you were in! We celebrated our middle son’s 8th birthday there! They had amazing food and service!
Can you recommend your favorite Disney world cook books My daughter is a stay at home mom. Want something easy that kids would like. Thank you. Love your videos!
Absolutely!! I am loving the newest cookbook Disney has released. Here's the link from Shop Disney: www.shopdisney.com/delicious-disney-the-fresh-edition-book-477412368408.html?isProductSearch=1&plpPosition=1&searchType=regular Enjoy! And thank you!!
We love this place. You had me worried there with a “three martini lunch”! Although if anyone could do it, you could (no judgements)🤣. The grapefruit cake dessert is one of the few “full sized” desserts left at signature restaurants at WDW, with a noticeable and annoying trend towards smaller, ‘flight’ type desserts. It’s nice to get a big honking piece of cake and this is one to save room for. One thing I didn’t like the last time we went - and I’m a salad snob - the Cobb salad. I think it’s too “processed” for me - meaning so over chopped, it sort of left something for me to be desired with regard to texture. Otherwise, love everything about this place. Good drinks, food and of course Dora Nesmond was cheeky and funny. Love her!
Loved it. I would totes dine here with you dudes. We shall arrange it! Ps I am super excited to see Steve stepping outside the bourbon once in a while! Lol
Never been there but definitely hoping to try it on our next trip (which unfortunately has been rescheduled yet again due to the virus). We'll be back on property eventually
We went in Oct based on your previous recommendation. It was so lovely and glamorous and yet we were so sweaty and disgusting! Would’ve been nice to do in our fancy attire on a date night. Got the salad with lobster cuz I’m fancy, husband got the burger. I wish we would’ve tried the cake and gin martini. I got my usual vodka martini slightly dirty, it was good. Started with a Bloody Mary, it was what you’d expect for an Airport style bloody...not bad but nothing noteworthy. I believe we started with a scallop/pork belly app that was very good. Also, how do I sign up for the Dorma Nesmond gig? Walking around with a Martini in a glam gown is the life I’m trying to live. I’m sure I’ll be doing this in my living room in 30 years regardless but it would be nice to monetize my passion for drinking and being overdressed ;)
OHHHHH!!!! GAWD! I am ordering your exact meal!! Thank you. Do you suggest lunch or dinner? We are staying at the Yacht Club and hope that Yachtsman's Steakhouse opens!!!
My husband and I love your videos! So happy y’all are back, and I think the new behind the scenes/vlog format for restaurants is hilarious but also so relatable. On a side note, you might be allergic to latex since you have sensitivity to avocado. Speaking as a surgery nurse this is always something we ask about.
Love you guys. Is this a new video - seems like you featured the martinis last October (2019). Sooo The Brown Derby meal here - you both had the martini flight (the vodka martini misidentified by Mike as Absolut Citron), you shared the Cobb, you had the same burger, you had the same dessert! You guys have to mix up the choices so we have broader coverage of the menu! 😊
I’m Curious why Mike has to stay away from avocado. I’m curious because I also have to stay away from them. I unfortunately get nauseous if I have too much. No idea of Im allergic or what but sometimes it can be the tiniest amount that throws me off.
Love that you showed Bette Davis and Joan Crawford back to back.
I am old soul too n old music.
I loved the Lil glasses
Aren't they great?!
@@TheMagicDads lol but u can drink as much as u until Mickey kicks u out lol.
WONDERFUL!!!
Love the little bar / patio outside....soooooo good. Perfect place to relax. Thank you for this awesome video. Missing Disney.
Yes, we've done the patio before too, perfect for small bites and drinks! Thanks for watching!!

This is my favorite video of you two !!! Hollywood Brown Derby is my favorite restaurant as are the martinis !!! Way to go !
Another fantastic vlog! 👍Great way to end my thanksgiving weekend.
Hope you enjoyed it!
We have five nights booked at WDW for early May. The Brown Derby will be on our list for dining. The cocktails looked outstanding. Great job as usual.
Have fun! That will be so much fun. Thanks!!
We will be in WDW in January. I made lunch ressies at Brown Derby directly after watching your review. Can't wait to taste that flight!
Thanks, great review. I have never had their cake yet. However i did make it and my recipe the cake was too dry and not a light sponge either. Wish i could have your recipe. My version had thin slices of grapefruit in between the layers.
Oh no! Yeah, the first time I made it it came out the same way. Practice makes perfect, I guess lol.

We had lunch there while we were there last week and we loved it! The drinks were great and so was the food!

Right?! Hahaha. We cannot wait to go back!!! Hopefully when all this mess is past us we can plan a group trip!!
Awesome vlog!!! My family and I are trying HBD in our vacation this month and I can't wait to eat there!
Have fun!
Never been there but definitely hoping to try it on our next trip (which unfortunately has been rescheduled yet again due to the virus). We'll be back on property eventually
Oh no! Sorry to hear that, but hoping you'll be back to the magic soon. And hopefully you'll get the chance to experience Brown Derby!! Thanks :)
Is there a Lucille ball pic.

I get this weird, scratchy thing in my throat whenever I eat avocado. It's so odd.
What?! No son of mine is going to be drinking a 3 martini lunch
Is this any worse than a 5 scotch breskfast?
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU SEE YOU ON MAY 1 2022
Who doesn’t like avocado 🥑 😱🙄🙈🙈🙈 and the other one won’t eat tomatoes 😂. So never travel to Mexico
