- What's for Dinner? It's dessert time! Noor and Verena are making Sticky Miso Banans with lime and toasted rice topping. A simple no-churn ice cream on the side and a little star anise improvisation. A recipe from OTK Shelf Love that takes hardly no time at all.

i just love the production quality of these videos and the "informal" shooting style. don't change anything. these videos are so refreshing and I feel so happy every time I watch them! i'm a little obsessed with this channel!
me too ... just found the channel today
V is hilarious. Whipping that spoon out and browsing on nuts.
I really enjoyed watching Noor and Verena. I love the banter. The recipe looks amazing.
V, please always carry spoons in your pockets! Loved it!! 🤣
I'm with V - I much prefer barely ripe bananas. Overall, I always prefer savory to sweet, so maybe that explains it.
Dear V, could we maybe get that no-churn ice cream recipe?? I'm dying to try that one!
I made these with ripe plantains, the caramel with raw sugar and omitted the cream there, but added a little coconut oil, accompanied with coconut ice-cream. Very delicious!
Good to know it worked with plantains too!
Somente wanted to deeply thank you for your creativity and generosity in sharing your delicious knowledge. I live in Spain and more than 15 years ago I bought my first Ottolenghi cook book, today I dedicate myself to cooking for yoga groups completely supported by your recipes and culinary methods, I would love to give a huge hug of thanks to all your team, I send here virtually, and if anyone reads this, please send it to everyone...♥️🤗🙏
I am definitely of the greenish banana for snacking, ripe for cooking camp. I don’t like mushy ripe bananas for eating at all.
This is my fave video so far! More of V please
Noor, you are lovely! (You too, Verena!) just wanted to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed these videos!
You ladies are lovely
OMG OTK! I bought the cookbook today and I must say, so many recipes in there that I wanted to try right away! This might be the best book from Ottolenghi that I own so far! And Noor Murad, I love your Machboos Rubyan! ❤
We are so pleased. Enjoy!
Love the authenticity and unscripted conversation ❤️
Good grief, that looks amazing. But yes, some of us will be veganizing that dish.
I love this show so much
I rarely eat bananas but I love to use them when cooking. If I would eat them I probably eould eat them something between green and very ripe. Once again What a great episode! Thank you for it! I need to cook these bananas very soon, they look amazing. I was drooling while watching!
So love your alternatives .... keep it up team
I love Yotam reaction at "8:55"
omg i need za'atar mac n cheese 🤤🤤🤤
Team V. These sound/look like a flavour bomb.
Verena is 👑👏
Some feedback: have one camera that is static and another for the detail shots. The constant changing of shots on the chefs is really jarring & the editing with the counts and ingredient replacement & q&a segways is quite bon appetite esque but not as well done.
Really enjoyed these!
Wish I had that pan!!!
I LOVE green bananas!
Team V! For me bananas MUST be on the greener side for eating independently. The texture of riper banana is completely off putting. Spotted bananas are for baking, smoothies & nice cream ONLY.
Ok, I loved everything about this video. Great production but so relaxed and fun. I don't usually laugh out loud during recipe videos but V and N were so funny!
I also LOVED the little tips along the way for substitute methods and ingredients! When Noor was like "when someone says 'oh my god, I don't have a spice grinder! I can't make the recipe!'" I immediately sat up because that's EXACTLY what I had said an hour earlier reading some recipes in the Jerusalem book 😂
Could ripe plantain be used in this recipe?
omg keep making these
i only eat banana when it's converted into someting else ( fried, smoothie, cookies, cake etc). But if I would have to eat a banana, I would rather eat a green one. It's a structure thing
100%
better question sumac or zereshk ??? personally I'm team zereshk
Green please! Brown is for baking
O also only eat slightly ripe bananas!
My breakfast every day is a slightly green refrigerator cold banana
Team Noor is highly disappointed. :)
Ripe banana, no question.
Might be the Germans in us, Verena. I don’t eat ripe bananas either!
Green banana!
I also prefere young greenish bananas to eat....the spotted old ones are sweet flowery mushy ...äkkkk grrrr 😂❤
Another one for team green banana 🍌💚
Hi where can i find the recipie link please
Hi Sangeeta, if you look at the description below the video and click on 'show more', you'll be able to find the link.
I like my bananas between y'all. Slightly firm, very little brown, not green at all.
What was the white stuff you added to the sugar and butter?
Creme fraiche
Team green bananaaaa
Def Team V on the banana debate
When you say “grill” and put in oven, do you mean broil? Asking for American haverim.
Yes ha, it's the broil setting.
@@Ottolenghi thanks, love your videos. And books!
I am not team V, but definitely not team N, just somewhere in the middle.
What was that she mixed in at 4:21 ?
It's crème fraîche! It's mentioned a little later but also in the recipe link.
Maybe overlaying some text on the video with the ingredient would help :)
Team V but I love you both!
Spoted and ripe bananas, for me please!
For my son always green and crunchy though 😂.
I worship all things Ottolenghi. Full stop. This would be my dream dream job. Dream Life, frankly.how amazing you all are. Universe, are you listening?!
Not sure if the universe is listening but we are. Thank you for all the love! :)
I am team hard yellow ;-)
Team V 🤗
Team V
Your not weird, I only like bananas when they are green too. I like the subtel sweetness, fully ripe I find them disgusting.
Team n
team V
Slightly underripe
