    love this recipe. i gave it a vegan spin by subbing out the anchovies for a tapenade of capers and sun-dried tomatoes, plus vegan parm & yoghurt. it was perfect. love the addition of tahini in this version!

    I am going to make this, the only change I will make is to wash my Kale in warm water for a second and dry it, which also makes the kale a little softer. Thanks for the recipe.

    What’s a good alternative to chickpeas?

    • @Ottolenghi
      @Ottolenghi  ปีที่แล้ว

      For this salad, you can substitute with croutons, butter beans, even broken up tofu. We hope that's helpful!

      Great alternatives are seaweed, miso, nutritional yeast, tamarind, capers or olives

      We love the suggestions! We are definitely on the side of capers here. Enjoy!

    I’m going to give this one a try, looks really fresh and good. I’m not a fan of anchovy so I’ll probably leave that out and hope it’s OK.

      This might be just the recipe to try if you don't like anchovies but of course, adjust to your taste.

    Oh that salad! I made roasted chickpeas but Yotam's method is better. Love that dressing, I plan to use it on all vegetables salads.

    Great recipe! I think I will add some pomegranate seeds as the final layer -- just for a bit of tartness.

  • @mitrah108

    Do you soak the chickpeas for 6-8 hours and drain them before putting it in the oven?

    • @Ottolenghi
      @Ottolenghi  ปีที่แล้ว

      We use tinned chickpeas (easier and faster) but if you do want to use dry chickpeas you'll need to cook them first. Hope that's helpful.

      Not entirely. The dressing is in OTK EGT as part of the 'Endive salad with maple walnuts and tahini-Parmesan dressing' (which is super delicious as well), the rest is new. We hope you like it!
