If the company behind the movie called it a comedy, it could be released in multiplexes and rake in the cash. If they called it porn, they'd only be able to release the movie to grind house and art house cinemas, if that.

These type of videos and people are my biggest pet peeve. And I’m 1000% sure that they’re doing this for clicks, sh*ts and giggles, but it’s just so infuriating and annoying.
It's called ragebait and they are 100% doing it intentional. Drives up clicks and engagement because people understandably get mad about it and want to voice their disagreement but the best way to engage with these videos is to NOT engage with them. Skip it, block the channel and act like it doesn't exist.
It's all about tricking the algorithm. Easier than having to compete with actually enjoyable content.

This reminds me of Jarvis' series on people "Wasting food for clout". Turned out they were all part of some weird agency or something (or some were, at least), so they were doing this to purposefully get people talking and get clicks instead of something with a fetish.

To be clear: The fact that these videos always have such crazy premises and stupifying endings is deliberate, because people are drawn to comment on how stupid they are, or much time was wasted, or how stupid the people making are, etc, etc. It's extremely effective at drawing engagement.

As soon as they brought out that waffle maker, I knew the sprinkles were going to burn and make a huge mess, I just expected them to lie and switch it out with a regular waffle. I didn't think content farms could get lazier, but they're not even faking their hacks working, just that that terrible result is what they actually want.
Firstly, the absolute AUDACITY of her calling that a "mixture" like is a recipe and not just eggs beaten into a bowl of sprinkles. BUT ALSO, that egg that fell off the God-forsaken waffle iron burning into my cornea is killing me throughout the rest of the video. 😂

Omg this reminds me so much of my mom describing her ultimate, most painful, first world nightmare where she went to a party for people she barely knew, and lost my father in the crowd, her phone died, etc. and the ABSOLUTE peak of the nightmare was the host of the party describing how amazing the cake was for so long before cutting it, acting like she’d cut it, and then getting distracted and kept talking over and over for an hour. It's actually sad what happened to Snapchat. Facebook offered to buy them, they refused and Facebook vowed to 'destroy them'. Facebook then launched Instagram Stories, pushed it heavily - and ate up all of Snapchat's user growth.
Snapchat is actually still growing quite a bit though, Facebook name’s has been dragged through the mud so many times that just about no one likes them

And for whatever reason, people tend to ignore that and hate on FB/Meta while continuing to use Instagram as one of their main social media apps. I even see memes about how bad FB/Meta is on Instagram.
As a side note: This reminds me of a few years ago when all of those celebrities and influencers posted that stupid screenshot contract petition thing that said something like "I do not consent to FB sharing my info just bc I use Instagram" or something like that. The details are fuzzy. I vaguely remember it having to do with some controversy (maybe even a lawsuit???) FB was in at the time. I just think it's funny that those users who were so prominent on the platform and who may have even had contracts, brand deals, etc had no clue FB owns Insta and that's what caused the panic.
SC is growing as a messenger, and tbh, the reason the stories suck is because sc has no quality control at all. There's no content that any but the most drunken fool would want to see.

I watched a bunch of gabi belle videos in the last two days. Just today I decided to subscribed to the channel then fall on this video and questionning my choice.
The frankenstein waffle made me angry.
I get angry so rarely, but that video made me so unexplainably livid, I couldn’t even handle watching it in this video.
The waffle iron sprinkles wasn’t even remotely satisfying. It actually made me angry thinking about cleaning up that mess. It looked like an experiment I could have tried when I was 8 years old.

I always wondered who must actually be watching these on Snapchat bc the ads are as often/ long as the actual “content”. Like if you have a mess fetish I’m sure you can find some content (probably better quality) on a much better platform than snap with a 5 second ad every 10 seconds ?? And for the ones that are not mess fetish?? Genuinely who falls for these? HOW DOES THE SNAP EXPLORE PAGE STILL EXIST??
