Oh this is such a cool design, I love the fact minecarts are being used more. This farm is so much more interesting to watch in action than any other farm I've seen too due to the constant moving of minecarts.
Regarding the Smite on the sword. If memory serves, the better choice is to use Sharpness instead because the armor stand isn't undead, so the damage multiplier won't be given to the surrounding mobs. But Sharpness would be applied. I don't remember where I heard or read this bit of info. Edit: Good video! Forgot to mention that. xD
I'm in the process of making a perimeter(2/3rd dug) for my wither skelly farm in my new world and you post this... This is fantastic. I have a double blaze farm that I pick up the blaze in minecarts bringing them to my kill room and this keeps in theme of the 'wonky' way I enjoy to make farms. Could make a cool roller coaster build using this mechanic... with rates like this; its ok to play with the mobs a little for fun
EthosLab did his dual blaze farm like that in his LP. I have 2 blaze spawners in range in my fortress and was planning to do it with minecarts and was going to re-watch his video, but I think I might take this one with the honey block train station waiting areas. Edit: It was episode 420 of his LP, lol (also 421).
This is an awesome design! I think im gonna try and use it for my farm - I just finished clearing out a big perimeter, and this looks like a fun alternative to the design I was going to use initially
Im rn on a perimeter as well, but i am wondering if it is worth it removing the bedrock roof. Also is it possible that u could name me your previous Design?
@CameronMindBestSkyblockPlayer I don't think removing the roof is worth it, personally. Its a lot of extra work for not a lot of reward. The first design is by logicalgeekboy. It uses wolves, and is properly AFK-able because of that :) th-cam.com/video/OxUIJcTcokw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Fs8zqv7CAuPKnlnR
A mob switch is extremely helpful when you spawnproof the fortress :) I converted my warden-o-matic (warden protection for exploring ancient cities) into a temporary mob switch and it was a breeze.
Love this design. I spent a good amount of time building my farm just to find out the server I play on chucks don’t stay loaded so minecarts stop once you are a chuck away. Makes since being a public server tho. I should of known.
Haha I have a farm just like this but it is also a gold farm. I took ilmango's idea and combined it all and you can toggle each one on/off. Cool to see how you did yours different.
Ive been using the minecart conveyer belt system BUT, with activator rails on my Raid Farm, Fortress Farm, and Gold Farm. It’s phenomenal! But I play bedrock so the gold farm works beautifully!! The activator rails throw the mob out of one cart into another cart. It’s a bit annoying to setup the carts but damn is it fast!! You can move skeletons 40 blocks per second and throw them off into a trident killer! Edit:I don’t know spawn mechanics in java. It seems the activator rail system would only work with a 2 wide spawning platform here whereas in bedrock there are dedicated spawn blocks you can section off via glass panes then place the conveyer belt beside the blocks and put glass above spawn block to push the mob into cart.
I've built this on a server but I'm now running into an issue where carts on one of the lines are slowing down as they cross a chunk border. this causes carts to collide and if left running for any significant length of time cascades into a system breaking traffic jam. Trying to figure out what the cause could be. If anyone has ran into a similar issue and has ideas please let me know Edit: found the setting causing the issue it was a paper thing causing entities to be processed at half ticks if a certain distance away
@@ayushsm7151 yeah, that didn't have any issue for me though I can imagine it might if the server you're on had something aggressively controlling dropped item groups
139x139, took 2 weeks of work to clear out everything. Building the spawn pads atm, then need to figure out the most efficient rail setup, then destroying the nether roof to put the kill chamber up there and remove the roof over spawning pads as well... I will be done.... next year.
@@ayushsm7151 On mine I put on hold. I need sand for tnt to kill the nether roof. So with carpet to have temples spawn husk and Vanilla tweaks to have husk drop sand I am in the process of a husk farm with multiple temples near each other using this system. The kill chamber from this was built; however, I have modified it to be dustless. 30-45 seconds of farming gets 7-9 stacks of sand. When testing the rail system this uses on that husk farm I did not like the collection of the husk from the sides of the rails. I made modifications to this as well that I may incorporate on the wiske train setup I have now.
I really like the use of minecart. Since we are transporting mobs in minecarts, would it work if the killing spot is very high up, maybe even above roof, so minimum spawn prof is required?
You could. Would require some bedrock breaking and some weird rail spirals without curved rails, but yes, as long as the spawning spots are in the 128 sphere, the kill chamber can be anywhere
found a fortress on the SMP im playing on with a quad crossroads and a double crossroads. Slabbed perimiter soulsand valley........just finished building the spawning platforms, gotta figure out these railways now lol
great video! Question. the netherbrick skirts, The way Gnembon explained it was netherbrick increases the % of skellys. Doesent the wither roses guarantee 100% skellys? Most farms i see only use one top-most skirt for packspawning, so wouldnt the bedrock ceiling be the top-most skirt making all other skirts unnecessary?
Amazing farm. made it in my world. I just have one problem regarding the collection. when the shulker is full, the piston (that should push the observer) does not activate. Any solution?

Thank you for showing this! Made me remember about blaze farms, I wanted a minecart system for them, and you gave me some ideas.
Stoic epoch has a phenomenal setup with activator rails!
This farm is great, not only because it is very efficient, but it also looks ridiculous so it's extra bragging rights.

I already have an old spawnproofed crossroad farm, but im definitly upgrading to this in the future!
that's actually some kind of new design idea for farms, thank you very much man. keep going, really great videos and explaining.
just remember if you're playing in single player you can drastically reduce the amount of spawnproofing needed by just dropping your render distance

Turning the minecarts without curved rails is a very useful thing. I will use this everywhere.
Love this idea not only is it highly efficient but also a cool design with the minecarts :D
Thank you for reminding us that its ok to not be ok. I needed to hear this after the (preventable) death of my cat yesterday
For spawn proofing, Glow stone, sea lantern, or any light block with hitbox can be used as well but a bit tricky.
