Not every professor is like that man, I am also an asst professor in a govt college, but I always try to point out the genuine mistakes of the students just to nurture their deep subject knowledge, and I feel that this is my duty because I have given my whole life to only one subject and specially in the particular area of that subject. So, please don't give these kind of general statement if you are teacher too.

No IIT has excellent teachers . But my only problem is with Indian education system not IIT alone is, we teach a lot of theory, what about application. For example I see They teach great courses in Aerodynamics, Structures etc. But Why does India not make their own commercial plane. ? Book knowledge is one thing, but why don't we gear the Indian education to make things more on their own. Creativity is key, text books are theory. Both are needed.

Dear! If you are a student, learn to take into account the differing opinions. To start with your logic, if you are not in an IIT you cannot be certain that this person is telling the truth. Now, let me tell you that it is highly likely that this is either a bogus story or a one off story. I have not studied at an IIT. But I was in IISc and have many friends who are currently assistant professors in IITs. The faculty members at an institution remain there for a long time. So I also know the faculties at many IITs who are teaching there for over 2 decades or sometimes 3 decades. I will tell you a small story to put things in perspective. At IISc a Professor gave me minus marks saying, “what you have written is mostly correct, but you will suffer a stylistic penalty.” I met that professor in canteen while having tea and we discussed at length my answers. And then I began to understand what he meant. At a place like IIT or IISc, we are not just giving you information and expecting you to write correct answers. There is a deeper task at hand. The goal is to train the next generation of engineers and researchers. Some of the things professors do may look silly to you. Go and talk to them. Very often you will be surprised to know how short sighted you were and how those silly actions are pointed towards something else. So, take these youtube gimmicks with a grain of salt.
Sir those professor earned that attitude with undisputed hardwork, if iit professor says he's right , it means his excellent qualification says you'r wrong
