Side note tip... Highly recommend using a blow dryer on a COOL setting to fully dry your locs. Moisture gets caught INSIDE the dreads and most definitely can (and usually does) create mildew and mold (yes this is a real thing with dreadlocks). You think your dreads are dry but they are not... the inner most part of the loc can retain the water and that is where you'll have the problem.
Bro your locs are looking great! I get my hair loc'ed on July 11th and I'm so excited. I'm have an appointment at a salon (I have over 2 feet of hair).
@@cosmicpegusas5927 it's really not as long as ya think. Just take two 12 inch rulers and stack one on top of the other; my hair length is just a little bit longer than that.
Hey dude I have been planning on getting dreads myself and I have a couple questions, 1, do dreads look messing and less "Locked" after a shower? Do yours need a retwist? Will the frizziness go away after having them for a while? I have straight hair. And lastly how long have you had yours for?
TheGamingRaptor JA The more often you get your hair wet the faster you will need a retwist. I got mine retwisted a couple of days ago, but I dont want my locs to tight. The frizzines will calm after a couple of months. I have had mine for about 3-4 months
i whant to know the method that you used to get dredlocks is it like dameging for your hair and if i ever disased that i whant to come them out will my hair be damegd and will it be the same linght as before i get dreadlocks becase i have long hair and i whant to try it but i am scard that i will lose all my hair after that and alsol sorry if my eanglish is not corect beacose i don't speak eanglish
petar stoleski Its okay. Dreadlocks are a decision you should really think about before you decide. If you decide you dont want them anymore you will have to brush them out wich takes a while and it is damaging. or cut them off
I want to get dreads I need help with sectioning i have very straight hair any tips? My birthday was on the first but i couldnt get them bcuz my grandma didnt know how can u twll me how to section in more detail
Bro just wanna give a general hair tip if ya don't already know. Tea tree oil and coconut oil (which has lauric acid) is toxic to lice. Peppermint oil strongly repels lice, but doesn't kill them. I use all 3 sparingly to massage my scalp; a little goes a long. If you eventually use any of those use very little coconut oil, because too much will introduce a protein overload to your hair. Also the best time to oil scalp is after a hair wash, oil is a sealant not a moisturizer so don't put it on dry hair. I know this vid is not about lice, I just want you to be extra careful because you can't comb lice out of locs.
I’m getting my friend to do my lockes on Tuesday and your channel is the absolute best for me so thank you !!!!!

I heard you shouldn’t really go to bed with damp hair that’s wrapped as it’s can cause a bad damp smell in the locs

I use about the size of a U.S. quarter amount and rub my hands together, then massage my scalp. That's all ya need.
