    I wanted to comment on all the new knitters out there, don't give up on this pattern! Once you get past the twist, it's really an easy and beautiful pattern. Here are two tips that may help. I printed out the pattern and added the six stitches (moss stitch), to the beginning and the end of each row. I seemed to forget those stitches over and over again until I actually added it on to the paper. I even put a stitch marker right before the last 6 stitches, to make double sure I didn't miss it. For the twist, I went on to TH-cam and pulled up 3 stitch twist. I found a knitter that knit like me and was able to figure out how to do it. After that, I've been following the pattern just fine. I've only completed the pattern once, so I have quite a bit more to go, but I love it. I also really enjoy this video. I think he explains each row perfectly. Thank you for this video. Happy knitting!

    I have never knitted and this is a first for me. It’s hard for me to sit down and just start knitting, my brain doesn’t work that way. It’s like I have to understand it all first. You are the first person on YT that makes it easy to understand for me at least. I really appreciate how you took the time to explain the purl and knit stitches and the visual difference between them. That is so helpful. Thank you! I am determined that the first thing I knit be a baby blanket for my nephew who was born a couple of days ago.

    This is the first baby blanket I've ever knitted. It took me a while to learn the lingo, but I am almost done. Thank you so much for sharing this easy pattern! I love how it is coming out and I am sure my grandbaby will enjoy it when he arrives. Thanks again!

    Just did a sample workup to see if I could follow the pattern. I'm doing it in a soft washable natural color merino, 2 strands, and a size 10 needle. It came out so pretty. I played your video at a slow speed during the twist and finally got it. Tomorrow I'll start the real blanket. Great videos.

    Thank you for this beautiful pattern.
    I have a few questions please.
    1. Is this reversible?
    I understand that it looks different on the wrong side, however, sometimes the wrong side can be beautiful as well. So im asking would it be pleasant to the eye on the wrong side as well.
    2. I also knit continental style, but ive never seen a purl stich done the way you do. It looks like you do YO before you purl... Very peculiar.... Because when you have more yarn for the stich the entire fabric becomes looser. Is this what you want ? Can you please explain.
    3. I followed your link and signed to your website, however, I i cant go past this landing page to find the written pattern. Help ..
    Thanks a lot.

    I was able to print the pattern. For your row 5( the 2 nd twisted row) after the 6 seed stitch you begin with 1 purl then knit 5. However the pattern says k5 p1 is which one is right?

  • @TJ-ni2rd
    @TJ-ni2rd ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m doing the pattern of c/o 117 stitches and every time I get to row 5-6 it doesn’t work out right?? I always end row 5 with a knit 4 instead of the knit 5 that you seem to have gotten? Then when I go to do row 6 I’m supposed to purl 5 and knit 1 but I only have the 4 purl then it’s the knit I believe and it’s driving me crazy?

    Thank You for the free pattern', this it's my 6 time trying, I thought I was kniting it wrong.. you purl different knit same as I, my knits were coming out twisted so I,m knitting them from behind, is that ok??

      I'm a beginner also ,one thing I have done is slowed the videos down I wanted to learn from and I can honestly say I had to do a few over and over again especially doing certain types of yarn overs. Hope you don't give up. I always look for easy beginners knitting videos on here and some are great teachers and there are some that do go to fast.

    I can't find the Sarasota Chunky yarn in my area so I'm thinking about using a lighter weight yarn. I'm a beginner, can I change the weight of the yarn? How would I adjust the pattern for a thinner yarn?

    I noticed that at 26:00 when you start row 5 you purl 1 in the beginning after your 6 seed stitches. The pattern says row 5 starts with 5 knits. I did the 1 purl in the beginning and indeed ended up with only 4 knits left in the end instead of 5. Just curious if this was intended?
