That's beautiful. Turned out amazing. I finished my basement and looking for ideas and this one is one of the best.

I just built one myself. I never considered adding a vent. Is adding a vent necessary for using the heat mechanism. Can't seem to find this information anywhere. Also doesn't state anywhere in manual about airflow. However, it makes sense

Glad you built one! Yea I agree there was not much info. I had the exact same debate and since the heat function draws air I wanted to make it easy to circulate air from the room so I think adding a vent or two is a good call. I’ve been glad I did.

Thanks for the video. I would like to know how the electric fireplace held up after having it for a couple of years now.

You bet! Thanks for asking. It has been awesome. We don’t use it for heat often (when we do it works great) but we use the light almost every night. It’s still working perfectly.

This is sick! We’re thinking about doing one in our master bedroom at some point. What was the overall budget?

Is this a 15 amp circuit you're relying on to power the 1500 watt heater and tv? Is the circuit feeding all the other outlets in the room ? If so you should run a dedicated 20 amp circuit for the 1500 watt 13+ amp heater.

We are all good on our wiring but thanks for the comment so others can take note for their individual needs.

Awesome! How far out did you build?

Thanks, Gary! Do you mean from the wall? If so, it’s about 9 inches deep.

How wide is this? I'm looking to do something like this but have small space to do it and this one looks like it might fit!

The fireplace insert is 28” wide and my total fireplace is 50” wide but it could be less if you wanted it to be. Hope that helps!

Hi Michael! Sorry about that. I have not yet made plans available for the fireplace as of now.
