Thank you so much for genuinely and honestly sharing your hard earned knowledge. So many YT providers produce content that demonstrates they have knowledge but actually don’t impart any. Could you advise? In this episode you show the block mounted to the stand using just the two fuel pump bolts. Is that sufficient for a fully loaded engine? It seems more logical to mount the block from that side to allow assembly of oil filter and distributor, including timing, but so many mount from the oil pump bolts. 🤷🏼♂️😉
Hi there, many thanks for your feedback and glad you're liking the content. We have used both methods of mounting and have had no issues with either, however access is much less inhibited using the fuel pump holes. Meaning more can be assembled ie the oil filter housing, core plugs etc But we don't ever assemble the full engine to the gearbox on the build stands, we remove the engine from stand to lower it onto gearbox using a crane.
If you don't know how to use the distance measurement function on your vernier ( flat end to inside diameter measurement tip) what other measurement techniques are you getting wrong?

He correctly used the depth measurement function.
Happy to try and understand exactly what you mean but no mismeasurement here 👍
I think what your referring to is why didn't I flip the very nears and us them to the underside of the bolt head. Each to their own. 👍👍
