one thing i really like about the movie and don't really see anyone mention is how jeff and jigsaw are very similar in character, both lost a child and neglected their loved ones, falling into a wish for vengeance. Jigsaw is torturing a guy basically for being the same as him, and ended up dying at his saw (lol)
Yeh kinda bugged me that John wanted Jeff to burn his sons possessions. Any parent who’s lost a child would of course cherish anything that belonged to them. I think being forced into watching them burn to “move on” is kinda messed up.

Just discovered your channel a couple of days ago and was wondering why this was out of order! Hope you have fun working on these and don't feel like you have to. They're great to watch through!
Love your analysis on Amanda. Lots of people seem to miss the meaning of her character. She really is just an exploited and abused woman that can't claw her way out of her trauma no matter how hard she tries, groomed by a sociopath who uses an almost fatherly role over her to his advantage. She's turned violent and unfeeling because of him, and is pushed to the breaking point.
i wanted to take a moment to say how deeply i appreciate your character analysis, especially your part about amanda, i have watched countless videos about saw and yours is the first ive seen that really goes into the characters and what they are meant to signify, which in my opinion is what makes the movies so so compelling! amanda young is by far my favorite horror character, and you captured exactly what makes her so great, she truly is a perfect metaphor for the cycle of abuse and i could go on forever about it, but you put in into much better words than i ever could, thank you!
I understand why Jeff doesn't spring into saving them immediately, but....... even people you absolutely hate don't deserve to die in these ways, that's what for me is the infuriating part of Jeff's character. Especially for the girl in the freezer trap, he needed the key to continue on himself anyways, even though she didn't come forward about the incident that doesn't mean she deserves to freeze to death. (There were also many things Jeff could have done that even if your freaking out you'd be able to think of such as putting your coat on her or around her or using the coat to block your cheek from touching the bars and then give it to her after you free her) Sorry I know a lot of people hate on Jeff and i'm not helping that but from a strictly human level even if its someone that murdered your child that doesn't mean they should die by having all of their limbs twisted around completely one at a time. (I am really tired right now and wording and formatting is hard so sorry about the paragraph not being easy to read lol) Anyways I do love Saw 3 even though it sounds like I might not lol, Great Video again!!!!!!!! 10.5/10, will watch again :)
you're 100% right, jeff is just selfish, and out for revenge against those who have wronged him. realistically, it's unfair he's being tested here, but he does himself no favors by acting as he does. also, thank you for watching and leaving the comment, even in a sleep deprived delirium :)

@@ripdalt I think for more extreme ones become so over the top they become absurd and aren't as impactful to me. I know a lot of people say the angel trap is the one of the ones they have to look away on, but for me it's so over the top it's left the realm of realism for me. Whereas the chains are grounded and realistic enough, at least to me, that something like that could happen. Now could someone pull their jaw off and survive, I have no clue.
@HazmanFTW No, that would be impossible to survive. You'd die of the blood loss in a minute or so. What's also interesting about that particular placement is how difficult it would be to actually pull off. The bone of the mandible is pretty strong, so what would need to happen is the ring would need to be pulled with enough force to rip apart the ligaments connecting the mandible to the skull as well as all of the surrounding skin and skeletal muscle. The only way I can see that happening is if Troy stood on the chair, jumped as high as he could, and angled to land on the floor on his back. That would provide the necessary force to rip his mandible off of his skull. There are so many details about that trap that guarantee Troy's death. The door could have been wide open, it doesn't matter. He had no chance to live.
I always disliked Saw 3 for multiple reasons. Firstly I expected it to continue Eric Matthews story and was unpleasantly surprised when he is thrown to the side. Secondly it’s the one that gives the franchise the reputation for being nothing more than gore and violence. The gore in this one is significantly increased from the previous two. I remember being covering their eyes in the theater, something that did not happen in the previous two. Lastly I hate Jeff as a character. I didn’t feel any sympathy for him. He’s a sadist who allows Timothy to be tortured despite Timothy not intentionally killing his son. He has an evil inside of him that Adam and Gordon didn’t have. I was rooting for Jeff’s death the whole movie and yet when it finally comes in Saw 4 it’s so anti-climactic.
I thought you'd have way more views with this type of video quality! I really love your analysis videos and hope u blow up someday. Amanda really is so hot here tho
Saw 3 is a decent ending to the saw franchise. I hate how Amanda screws everything up and I wish there were more traps overall, it’s okay but not the best it could have been

The chain through the guys jaw is still one of the most brutal scenes imo
that's a VERY underrated one, i hardly hear anyone talk about it!
@@austin.luther sounds pretty brutal to me
Chefs kiss, this is an amazing interpretation of Amanda.
thank you very very much! i'm glad i could do her justice :)
I was rooting for Jeff’s death the whole movie and yet when it finally comes in Saw 4 it’s so anti-climactic.
they're all fair points really, by this point john has certainly lost much of his way from the beginning
I thought you'd have way more views with this type of video quality! I really love your analysis videos and hope u blow up someday. Amanda really is so hot here tho
thank you! all the views so far have been more than enough, so anything else is great :)
Saw 1, 2 and 3 are my favorite psycho horrors of all time.
they are absolutely fantastic! one of my favorite trilogy runs in horror :)
Another great episode in this series! I hope you end up getting to saw 10 eventually, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
thank you! and yes, that one is coming!
A bullet goes in either cips or mags, but a mag was what was shown when you talked about that
oooh thank you!
the series should have stopped right here, it was the perfect send off for the whole series
the more saw the better for me :)
*Kerry's didn't make it*
Me: *To the movie* Why would you do this to me, movie
and SO early!!!! it's unfair
So, in a sense, Jigsaws test was to see if his tests worked. If it worked, he lived. and if they didnt, well...Game Over
it was a bold strategy for sure
Saw 3 is a decent ending to the saw franchise. I hate how Amanda screws everything up and I wish there were more traps overall, it’s okay but not the best it could have been
i just wonder if there were plans for something else for three, before wan and whannell returned
6:21 especially when you said this which I actually agree with
Hilarious that the judge gets covered in pig carcass, but is bone dry in the next scene
y'know, i've heard congealed pig liquid (pigquid?) dries real quick! especially when it's jeff making the decisions
I'm glad others realize Carrie could have poured some liquid out. Also the ending for Lynn was too much. She was pregnant.
lynn deserved so much better (even though she was cheating on her husband)
@@ripdaltExactly, this is probably the only trap/scene that truly bothered me.
no saw 2 video?
having some copyright troubles on it blocking it worldwide, but working on a fix :)
@@ripdaltaw that sucks, hope you get it sorted soon :))
My 2nd favorite Saw film.
Besides that Amanda is so fucking hot in this movie 🥰
no bc you're SO right
I love the Saw franchise!
me too! it's my favorite horror franchise :)
Bro needs more subs folks this is criminal...
comments like this mean more than the sub count to me, so thank you :)
6:21 INDEED
I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT
@@ripdalt if I ever end up in a trap that she built let’s hope I wake up before anything bad happens and convince her to play my game
3:24 get it cause heel lmao
hehehe >:)
LOL the QVC ad🤣🤣🤣
lmao i was happy with that one, it's so silly
Death is a surprise party

@@ripdalt today it was the last day of school for me in Arizona and I’m going to 8th grade. It was a surprise party

Stunning analysis ❤️.
thank you! :)
I always hated Amanda and was so happy to see her end.
heresy! can i ask why though??
W opinion.
Best movie of the franchise.
it's SO good
Accoutrement... Read to filth... Okay i see you 👀

I thought the thumbnail was Shrek.
lmao, that's funny
it got better and now i have a new dalt video
every day gets better, nice to see you here :)

He taking too long to make decisions, if the judge survived he might’ve had some type of new disease.
jeff single handedly increased this runtime by like half an hour, he's such a drag. if i was the judge, i'm choosing death every time
@@ripdalthe’s entire life might’ve been 90% hesitation.
19:19 Sasuke
went from sasuke to rock lee in saw x lmao
#JusticeforAdam
he's still alive!!! (i'm coping)
Leigh made Saw great
he truly did, once he moved on, the soul of the series left with him
I used to dislike Amanda, but your speech and how she was groomed into this hit me
Now I feel bad
her story and her end genuinely breaks my heart
Absolutely love your exploration of Amanda's character, including your discussion of the patriarchal context and the consequences and hopelessness that come as a result of long term, systematic disempowerment at the hands of one's oppressor. Great commentary
thank you so much, i absolutely loved her character and reading it from that angle made it even better
fantastic sequel???
absolutely! i love it :)
amanda in 2 is way hotter
hard to argue with that
id love to hear your take on saw 6 or saw X, they’ve always been imo some of the thematically best saw movies
you're in luck, those are coming soon! :)
❤
This was not the best ending to saw trilogy bro never let this man cook 😭😭😭
the title said it was, so it has to be true :)
