I just don’t understand why people complain so much. I don’t even read the title. I see your face and I click on it to watch. I know your videos are always quality and I learn something in just about every one. When I don’t learn anything new they’re still entertaining. Thank you for another great one.
I’m so sorry you have to deal with the negativity of people. It’s sad. Keep on picking, filming, and loving life. You are awesome. 😊
No, you posting your sales inspire me, educate me and open my eyes to other ideas! Keep on keeping on! Thnaks
The Barbie and Skipper case is awesome! I had one similar when I was a kid. I had a neighbor that had cerebral palsy, I was 6 and she was 50 and we were best buddies because of Barbies! She allowed me to play with the most beautiful dolls!
I love your videos always!!!! Thanks for sharing the chaos with us 😅 makes me feel good to see you have chaos also!
I am not interested in having anyone help me, but everyone does their business in their own way. I am happy it is working for you. Wishing you and your family continued success.
KB, always appreciate the teacher in you. I know it was the past, however, you deliver your content to inform (“rambling” n all); and, it’s appreciated!
I really liked that John Deere hat!
So did the buyer. $80. including tax and shipping.!
Having limited space makes higher value sales that much more vital to my well being, so with time also being limited and valuable, weeding out low-dollar and items that don't move fast is crucial. If selling them in lots is out of the question or doesn't work, it's time to send them to the dumpster or recycling bin. When you can't even *give* the stuff away, there's really no point in donating them. Thrift stores throw a big percentage of their donations away, anyhow. I've learned some hard lessons that I hope will make me a better picker and seller. I refuse to buy anything though until I finish processing everything currently in stock. I've been working on it steadily, and tossing out things that have been wasting my time and space is immensely satisfying. One bad habit I had to break was buying things because I personally like them (I like too many things), or because I thought they were 'cute' or 'interesting'.
I know everyone has to do what works for them, but you sure have good ideas that are working for you and people might want to tune in to your Channel Commonwealth Picker for some more great advice. Thank you Kevin, hope your daughter is up and about soon. Get well.
Thank you Kevin for doing all these explanation videos. It really does help to utilize your standpoint while I make my decisions and opinions on different new protocols and operations of the selling platforms!
I have a W-2 job but needed a little more money than what I was making. A coworker recruited me to do Dood Dash. I did that for a year and a half. I quit because I was putting too many miles on my car. I decided to start doing eBay. It is more lucrative than doing deliveries also it is much easier and fun. I am learning alot from your videos. Thanks!
I don’t think you’re bragging. It helps us see what some items are worth and what we should be looking for.😊
I was just accepted to sell on dibdit and bought both of your lots from last show (Domino Noids and the Smokey the Bear) so thank you. I look forward to possibly taking part on the commons site also as I have collectibles like lego, comics, cards, and vintage figures/toys coming out of my ears lol. Love what you and the fam are doing, keep it up buddy.
I love watching your vids and hearing your views on EBay. I’ve dabbled in eBay since 05 and in the last 18 months decided to ramp up my eBay selling to be a part time seller. I think reselling is what you make of it, it’s hard work but I love it! I’ve learned a lot from watching you and some other resellers. Thanks for all the great advice!
I'm loving commons and look forward to posting more.
Good day, Kevin. Thank you kindly for showing us what to sorce and save time. 🙏 Faster things that sell for me are my coin lot's.
I appreciate the idea behind shop commons and you are probably right that all the good deals get snapped up, but a lot of listings have no money to be made for a reseller. I don't think the spirit of the site is necessarily embraced by all your sellers.
I don't like selling glass items. If the profit is right, I will, but not my thing :) Costume jewelry is my main ticket - small, easy to pack, cheap to ship, etc. Thanks for the video, always enjoy the perspectives of other sellers. Selling on Ebay since 1997....and I still learn new things. No one knows it all.
Here sourcing the jewelry has gotten diffifult unless you're going on private picks. It was my area too, but mostly vintage.
@@OriginalNethead I agree. It only takes 1 volunteer with first dibs to kill the potential to get decent items...
I have a question we have knock on wood. We have been putting out 30 to 70 packages a week for the past 12 months.
The last six days nothing everything just stopped. If it wasn’t for me sending out offers there would be no sales and I’m trying to figure out what happened?
Enlisting sell similar has been done.
Anybody have any ideas why our sales would just stop ?
And all of our ratings were 4.9 5.0 our seller is in great shape.
And Kevin, I have actually implemented my pricing scale. Instead of being $15.00 we do 14.95 for example.
We try to do that on all of our listings so we try to come up more higher in the search engines.
We do not have a store. I had one a year ago and just couldn’t figure it out.
eBay was no help trying to get that last step to complete
Antique store booths can be a good thing, but you have to buy the right thing for the right market and have the time to keep a booth up. I'm too disabled to handle a yard sale, but do flat out give some things away. For things I couldn't sell in the past, I usually only bought low enough to resell to another dealer so HE could make a buck with it. Not getting into it here, but live sales for me would set off a massive land mine.
I love selling toys and ephemera, so those print ads were right in my wheelhouse! I am listing them all on eBay and made my money back already selling the first 3! Thanks for putting them out there. It should be a good score for me!
I havent been sourcing much but been getting through my deathpile. Major slow sell through rate stuff which hurts the good items a lot. When get done with deathpile ill start marking stuff down and making lots of certain items.
One thing I do that I do not see others mention, is I sell a portion of my finds via a consignment shop. I take them a tub or two or three of sporting goods items: apparel, gear, shoes. They sell, I get half. It handles a lot of volume for me, stuff I don't have the time to create listings, answer questions, and ship, stuff below the ASP I am targetting. Sure, the fees are high, but it is handling stuff I would not buy otherwise (not worth my time). I will give them a shirt I paid $1 for, they sell for $15, I get $7.50. If I sold on ebay, maybe I'd get $10 to $12 on ebay, minus fees.
What is a static sale?
I live for the Commonwealth Comedy! ❤
Glad to see you hitting on all cylinders. Thanks for sharing your best practices. For me in my area because the sourcing is so good almost all the time I can treat the goodwills and flea markets like my own personal death pile. I know it's a luxury not everybody has and I'm definitely thinking of potentially joining your wholesale selling group.
I’m FINALLY listing for the seasons. I couldn’t do it in the beginning. Just sold a Studio 56 Haunted House! 😊

When you get a chance can you explain your clipboard were you have your sales tallied? Is that for your own bookkeeping? I'm asking because im making a lot of sales and want to make sure I dont get shot by the IRS
No. It is just to organize for the videos. Check out my reseller genie. Code commonwealth if you want to keep good records.
Is there a way to check what has sold on commons?
I see there is a leader board but I can't access it.
I would like to sell on there but would like to see what has sold and who is doing the best/what they are selling. I know you have said big loads with meat left on the bone
Thanks!
If you want something done, then give it to someone busy ! Keep up the good work !
More useful info from The Flipper .
Choosing to allocate limited time on what’s most profitable is a difficult task. It’s like doing medical triage…..
I half golf clubs but I hesitate to list them because of shipping issues. Can you show how you package them to ship
How would you suggest is the best way for me to sell about 50 precious moments, all in pristine condition in the original boxes and styrofoam of which are also in great condition. I'm brand spanking new to reselling and I can't even begin to think how hard it would be to sell them on EBay, that's a lot of listings. I was given them by a family cleaning out their attic and were about to put them curbside on garbage day. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Waiting fo the day when I find NCAA football 14. Crazy it can sell for that much.
This weekend was great for sales, but it also kept me from listing . I have to work on this problem.
Is dibdit available for sellers in Canada?
Great huggicates! Good morning Kevin! Great sells.😊
Please help Dave with his golf clubs. You just sold one for $30 plus shipping -- He sells them for $13 free shipping. . .
Every time I see a DARE item, I still think of Stephen Glass, although his articles were fully debunked. Once you read something, you always think there must be something in it, and it sticks in your mind.
PS - I think I heard an allusion to the mighty Jebus!
MORE SALES ,MORE WORK , SO EMPLOYEES CAN GET PAID MORE DONT FORGET THAT KEVIN ,
I was watching your video with my 6 yr old grandson and he squealed he was so thrilled with that yellow phone. I was surprised he thinks it is awesome. Do you have it for sale in your store or is it for display purposes. Thanks
I believe it is in the eBay store
Nice video 🙏
Inlike your Felix the cat shirt.
I love the shirt Felix the cat
Watching your video in a gym and Duran Duran is playing here.
Nice
I love your shirt!!! Is it for sale
Good stuff right here 👍👍
Does Bubba’s fiancé have a name?🥰
Really having Buyers pay the Fees is nothing new. Most Auction Houses charge a Buyers Fee, above the cost of the Item.
And a seller fee.
Can Bubba's fiancee get a name? Even if you just make one up,we won't even know.
It's Erika
Yes, it's not like you're sharing her last name, phone number, and social security number. Soo pretentious. Just ridiculous.
@@deathvalleyfinds7076 it's not a secret though. It's just something he does to mess around. Her name is Erika
It’s a joke. Young people often break off relationships. When I started TH-cam he had a different girlfriend. So I decided to call her Bubbas girlfriend so if it changed again I didn’t have to change her name. So now it’s Bubbas finance. Soon it may be Bubbas wife. Hopefully then it will never change. 😉 One of the cats names is “No Name” hopefully that isn’t a problem.
I called one dog, D O G sounding out the letters dogeeee
Hey Oh!!!!!
Keep talking bout what sold, what you made and where and how you killed it. I'm trying to grow from nothing and success comes from repetition
I like to see what successful resellers are up to
Do you think "hoarders" are good for business?
They are to some degree if you mean sourcing opportunities.
Please give baba’s fiancée a name 😊
WOW! 532 topics covered in this video. LOL
So is District only available to 50 vetted youtuber resellers?
? No. We have actually surpassed that number as many sellers have not listed yet and the sales have been so good.
@@commonwealthflipper ok thanks, I thought you said on a different video
👍
Kevin, do you ever actually get to sit in that rocking chair at the beginning of the video?
No. I sit in a zero gravity chair under the tree.
I know why you don’t video tape when you are sourcing at garage sales and swap meets. You don’t want others to see how clueless about values the people you encounter are. I have considered moving to Lexington. Everyone out west is halfway smart. I have to pay twice what you pay. And the shipping to back east is expensive. Let’s keep this a secret.
? You must not have seen the commonwealth picker channel
Yes, and I’m still depressed about seeing the Pawnshop Picker channel. My daughter is a Professor at the University of Kentucky. I could fit right in.
There's a difference between sharing and bragging and I say poopoo to those who can't tell the difference. I like to see that you are diversifying and delegating to grow and/or make your life more doable. What you are doing is not for everybody, like myself, but it's been nice to see how you've been doing it.
I've certainly changed how I do things over the past few years to make life more doable as well. I have limited space and time. I only sell on eBay. So I've adjusted my sourcing so I buy less but am still increasing/maintaining income. I'm always open to reasonable offers on listings. Almost 50% of what I list sells within 90 days. After a couple months I consider if the listing needs adjustment. And if it's not selling after 6 months, I start discounting deeply. And if it still doesn't sell, I throw it into the yearly garage sale pile. And then after that, it's donated. Very few of my listings are over a year old because of this and an important goal is that my death pile doesn't overtake my spaces.
Good Monday morning 😊😊
Any way of shortening your videos. I guess I have ADHD. I was able to walk around, all over the house completing tasks, washroom, laundry, Misc. Organizing, opening mail, blah, blah. I leave you on for background noise. As soon as I hear the dogs or cat come through your door, I come to a halt to view. I guess you could say, you've had plenty of students like me.
You could just watch half. 😉
@@commonwealthflipper background works better, I'm afraid I'm going to miss something. You know how it is!
@@paulneron375I usually put it on 1.5 speed
Watch how much you want, pause it and come back to it. Repeat if necessary. I like the length, one show usually gets my kitchen clean. I turn to see items if needed.
Most of us love his videos. You do you. Let’s let him do him.
I hate it when the picker video is out after it’s already sold. Y’all are doing it more & more. 👎🏿
I wish you would tell your viewers how many days the sales figure is for. You are bragging, because you give the impression that you sold everything in one day, but the figure could be for Friday, Sat, Sun and part of Monday. You are fundging.
I did and I do often. The eBay sales were over two days. The live sales were one day and the commons sales were 3 days. This comment really does get old. It is not hard to figure out. I post 3 videos a week. The math is not difficult.
Everyone knows these are multiple days of sales. He’s not bragging. He’s said that dozens of times. A huge point of this channel is to share his sales. If you don’t care about that aspect of reselling go watch his picker channel.
DON'T SAY A PRAYER FOR ME NOW! SAVE IT TIL THE MORNING AFTERRRRRRRR!... sorry, huge fan of the album...
