No - that 9'4 was created with Jaws in mind, and only .00008% of the surfing population ride that wave. We've just released a brand new step up with Wade Tokoro though. You can see it on our website, it just went live.
@@firewiresurfboards Super interesting! Do Carbon wrap boards work ok for larger waves? I'm considering a carbon wrap step up but was concerned it might be too light and even too fast?
They use to offer a service where you could tinker current designs slightly in dims etc but seems they no longer offer that, i can see why it would have just been more hassle than what its worth. With such a wide range of boards and dims, pretty much every surfer should be able to find something they like from the FW/SD range.. The boards are also all proven designs that work, customs are fine if you are working closely with a shaper and can talk to him bring in your own board and adjust where needed, but pretty much pointless if you just filling out a form wth dims etc in most cases the board you order is already on the rack.
Want Dan Mann for a ambi podcast! True Genius! Whole Brain Power and anyone in Coronado will tell you he is a true core waterman!
I'd love to see Kelly or Kai ride the 9' 4" at the Surf Ranch. Really. C'mon now that would be awesome!
Dominator or No brainer? Tell me why I should switch from my Dominator in my everyday slot to a No Brainer.

You’d be surprised if you tried one

Firewire Surfboards it’s in LFT, though?? Is it the stronger version like the hydronaut or the normal egg shell one?
How wide is the 9'4"?
21 inches exactly. And 3 inches thick.
@@firewiresurfboards It's a super sweet looking board, love the bottom contours.
Dan "the" Mann
Does that gun have a full carbon wrap?
Yes, Dan has been messing with custom carbon wraps in his boards for huge waves, and open ocean paddle boards.

Why doesnt firewire offer customs?
Because the general public are idiots and understand nothing about how a design works as a whole.
