      Thank you so much ! There is nothing fancy about the tone, just a bit of compression and EQ on my DAW. The right hand technique has a huge impact on the tone though, as you know.
      My bass was painted by the mexican artist Juana Sabina Ortega. I love it too !

    I agree with your opinion, the song is really catchy though and uplifting!
    I really enjoy identifying some new bass riffs I didn't hear out before, thanks for your effort!
    Did you try to play the bass as consistent with the original as you could, or did you conciously add some personal notes to it? I'm not that experienced yet in hearing out every note of a bass in a song, so I'm asking. In every case I like your played riffs :D

      Thanks again for your comment and interest :)
      I listened a lot to the song a tried to hear every detail of the bass. Then, I played all the details I liked, and changed what didn't convince me. Exemple : at 3:50, the original bass track is at the same octave than the guitar, and I prefered to play it lower, so it could be heavier and more powerful in my mind.
      Bass lines are like hidden treasure, but it's so worth it trying to listen to its details.

    • @piushoger4566
      @piushoger4566 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok I see, thanks for explaining your procedure, I like the result :)
      But also I like to just hear the (original) bass more clearly in general, so I can identify all its movements and add it to my listening experience when I hear the song again. (For this reason I clicked on your video in the first place.) Every time I hear a song (especially from Alcest) I try to hear more of its details of every instument, the lyrics etc. and it everytime enhances my experience a bit. With drums, lyrics and guitar I personally can distinguish a lot by hearing the song many times. But especially with the bass part I often struggle to identify the details. Therefore your video is exactly what I needed. Thank you :)
