When I originally heard the bass solo I knew I just had to learn it! Thanks for uploading this, makes it so easy to learn from :)
that solo is fire indeed!! keep shredding !! planning on doing any Korn cover?
Thank you man! I'll do another version of Korn when they release new music 🤘😉
This is awesome man!!! Could you possibly do a Sickle And Peace cover, with tabs? I've been looking everywhere for a tab, but no luck. Would be awesome if you could! Keep up the rad playing man.
Fucking excellent, the rhythmic playing reminds me of Philo (Lynott), fair play to you!
Lynott is underappreciated as a bass player, such solid lines and his tone was awesome
@@primalp83 absolutely. so many bands copied, I mean, "paid homage" to him, his style and Lizzy. Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Mastodon etc etc. I also say Gerry Mc from Rory Gallagher is highly underrated as a bassist too.
The corvette and the goth are 2 Sic basses. Lucky man! Good job. Nailed it.
That bass is BADASS, great job man!
I just learned this one on guitar a couple of days ago, I don't even play the bass, but was curious about the solo :)
Thanks for sharing and great job sir!
Amazing cover, the solo is sooo good
Awesome work and cover ! Nothing is missing :)
Well you could argue that Troy exclusively plays without a pic an that adds to his tone abit but yeah it is a good cover
amazing!
More than I could chew? 🤘🏻
Good cover man I don't understand why the rhythm section is picked and Solo finger style though? Just a personal preference thing? Troy doesn't use a pick at all for any Mastodon songs I don't think, partly in my opinion what makes his tone so great
What is the Tunning?
I have the same thunderbird, what strings do you use? Yours sounds brighter than mine
So probably.a.dumb question, but I noticed you did the bass solo and rhythm in 2 separate parts.. So is this done differently in the studio than live? How would you keep the rhythm while performing the solo?
Wasn't this originally performed in open C tuning? I hear that's what Mastodon usually use?
i don't know any Mastodon song which is in Open C. They mostly use D Standard.
@@user-bf6gz8ej4o They use drop C quite a bit too, and the Remission is almost all in Drop B or A
The vast majority of their songs are D standard, Drop C. Occasionally they use the Drop C but take the low E string down to A
Sigh... as lame as the whole Hushed and Grim album... great job, though.
Check out the bass solo 👉 3:10
Pretty sure this is the main reason clicked on the video was the solo haha
@@Tysandifer haha it's not very common to hear a bass solo in rock songs nowadays...
