I just got a female ringneck dove from the pet store. The employee said females don't sing. This video got her to sing and laugh! I am glad I found you!
@@coolaydan1786 not sure if doves can actually laugh because of emotions like we do *but* they actually make laugh-like sounds, there are videos on TH-cam
@@coolaydan1786 i think its just a regular call for birds, but it sounds like laughter to us, these characteristics are found in some birds like laughing doves, laughing kookaburras, and others
When their wings are all shifty, twichy, and fluttery like that.....God, please take some of this cuteness off my shoulders......i cant bear it 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
@@klabumalami6699 its a tingles reaction. Like when you feel super good about something, it makes you all twitchy or want to shake some of that off. Same exact thing with doves. Pretty much all birds can do it. (provided their enviornment is positive enough for it) Its sooo precious to see.
These doves always startled me when I went walking. They blend so well on the dirt grounds, I don't notice them until they flutter away. But it's always nice to hear them when the sun rises.
This is kind of a weird question but do you sell (Doves)? I would really love one that is hand raised by you because you seem to have the touch and they seem love you… I feel like I asked you this before on another video but I'm trying again.
wrxsubaru02 sorry if I've missed your previous question, but no i don't sell doves unfortunately. i have considered it but i doubt i could ever sell anything ive raised... thank you for your kind comment though! where do you live? i got one of my doves from some place called the magnolia bird farm, she's the mom of the other two who are very tame
I wish you would because your birds are so sweet and love being touched. I have a dove and he is kind of a jerk but I still love him. He is over 20 years old.
lol yeah he is pretty old for a dove, I got him when i was about 14 years old but i hear they live for 30 years so he has 5-10 more years to go if he hangs in there... he has been ripped open twice by cats whole front chest skin ripped off but i washed it and then put neosporin on it which he survived both times. then his wing got broke and i taped it to his body for a couple weeks and he survived that too. I call him the terminator sometimes because he has the red eyes and never dies lol. He is just a typical male dove so he kinda hops around and acts like a tough guy and does not let me pet him. he will try to clean me if i hold him close to my face for a little while but he is definitely not like your birds. I got him a girlfriend and he beat her up for the first year but now the tables have turned and she beats him up lol. I had to put them in separate cages because he is too old to be fighting with such a young female who wants to lay eggs. They are exactly like yours, female is kind of orange with a white ring and he is a grayish pink color with a black ring. I noticed you have chickens too... I had chickens in the past too so I am pretty jealous of you. Seems u live somewhere with a little property so you get to enjoy them. I have an apartment now so the only animal i was able to take with me was my jerk pet dove lol.
wrxsubaru02 oh shit dude that's incredible... he's a real tough survivor especially since cat scratches/bites are nornally fatal to birds due to their bacteria.... it's really cool that you were able to nurse him back to health all those times too. i myself am trying to heal my little sparrow who most likely got into a fight with my other sparrow, looks like he got his whole skin layer ripped off his thigh and pecked open behind his leg... how did your dove's chest heal anyways like did new skin grow over it and did feathers ever grow back? it's nice to hear he still acts like a tough boy around the house, though it's kinda funny to hear the female started to fight with him too, from what i experienced doves usually calm down after first fighting/showing off to their mate, could the other one perhaps be a male? unless of course she's laid eggs without him but anyways at least he shows some sort of love towards you with the preening haha... also yea I've got some chickens, we've got some property but don't actually use it unfortunately since most of it is hilly and hard to walk through

They are begging you to preen and pet them.

But it's always nice to hear them when the sun rises.
Their cooing is oddly relaxing. That might have something to do with my affinity for birds.

I'm getting a dove but which one white dove or ring neck dove?
Lady Irene white is just a color variant of either a ringneck dove or a pigeon
AWW I'm a ring neck turtle dove owner as well. :)
