Every video you post of this machine only makes me more impatient on getting mine haha great stuff man I idolize your work and skill set.. also loved the side note on FireControl’s ability to pick up where you left off after a tip-up, or in your case tip-down accident. Good little bit of added reassurance
I only use generic hypotherm consumables for everything except for the fine cut consumables and for some reason on those I end up with too many issues where the machine will start to pierce and then doesn't get confirmation that The Pierces started properly. I just put in the hypotherm part number on eBay and buy whoever is cheapest at the time think the last kit I bought was like 50 of each for like 150 bucks or something crazy cheap like that
i didnt realize the razor weld uses the old style hypertherm consumables. the t45 torch is what i have with my old Powermax45 non XP . from what ive been hearing, the newer duramax style torches are even better cut quality and longer lasting components.
Another great video. I just bought the Harbor Freight Surface Conditioning Tool. Does a great job of removing mill scale and adding a great surface finish!
Have you seen the new MR1 cnc mill from Langmuir they just announced? I feel like that would be perfect for you. I’d love to check out what you make with it if you decide to pick one up. Looks sweet!
I’m in the same boat as well haha. We are actually setting up my wife’s new XR right now. I told her if she can have the XR then I’m allowed to have the new MR1. Let’s see if it works! I think if you were able to pick up a MR1 and talk to Ameribrade about their sweet belt sander/notcher you’d have the ultimate setup. I saw Ameribrade doing some collaborations awhile ago, maybe you can give them a shout and see if you can work something out. I’d love to see what you come up with in the future!
you might benefit from creating a separate setup for the interior holes so you can run different parameters for lead ins and speeds etc. and then have a second setup with just the outer perimeter paths so you can run faster with a different lead in/lead out.
Is there any mechanical or technical reason against using high carbon steel for a part like that? I know it's a little heavier and more expensive but as far as structural issues like is it at a risk of snapping off or would it be more robust?

Nice video! Quick tip, you can double click on your 2D profile to edit it instead of making a whole new 2D profile! I am always messing with the lead ins and radius too lol. Excited for future videos!
@@ntdracing I have the razor cut 80, still fine tuning my cut speeds, I have the CrossFire Pro, love it, do you have a video on your torch set up? I am using an sc80 torch as standard with the rc80, are hypertherm worth the swap?
Hypertherm makes a SYNC adapter for the old style torch to adapt new style consumable. It's all in one and supposed to last much longer.
Can you share a link for the part. I will check it out. Thanks.
Hypertherm p/n 428951 cartridge adapter.

It is a great machine. I am using it daily while I try to get our next truck ready for Baja.

I want to build my own truck as well. You are an inspiration 1👍
Thanks

That sounds cool. Do you have a link for the tool. We interested. Thanks.
Nice job, excellent presentation. Ciao, Marco.
Love the content and the information! Wish I had found you sooner before I ordered my table to use discount code!
You should check out how they refurbish cast iron pans. They use Backing Soda(special kind) And electric. It makes them look like new.

I have seen it and am considering it. My wife will be so impressed if I buy more stuff.

Hey Dave, what are you using for plasma smoke removal. I have the Langmuir Pro.
I open two doors and run a fan to pull air out one of the doors.

Thanks. I will fix that. Code NTDRacing should work too.

Thanks. Will try that.
what plasma cutter do you have? and how many amps are you running, looks clean, good work. do you get muck bevel?
Razorweld 45. I normally run it wide open at 45 amps and only adjust the cut speed. With good consumables, the cut is really good.

You might have said, but what thickness is the plate your using is it 1/4 inch or 3/16
1/4.
