A track off of the "99.9*Farenheit" CD. Although a highly apreciated upload, I notice that for the most part, description slots lack on basic info (the album, the year, etc); the kind of stuff that might encourage new listeners to dig deeper into an artist's work. Considering the current choices available, I just thought I'd mention that. Again, great upload. Thanks.
I also Love "World Before Columbus" from her next album "9 Objects of Desire" I recently lost my Mother and she suffered so much, bed bound, and not able to speak at the end just before she passed. I would have loved to play it at my Mother's Funeral. Its a song about her then young Daughter Ruby, and how she would have felt if she lost her.
Suzanne diria y perdona pero tu clase de musica para mi es un coctel de country mezclado con rock blues y folk Realmente una mezcla maravillosa con una gran voz y voz muy bonita Gracias por tus canciones
I Love you Suzanne, for your "Beautiful Music" I have thought of playing this for my "Severely Disabled Mother's Funeral" I can totally identify with the lyrics to this song. I am not able to communicate with her anymore. But when I hear your voice, singing "When Blood Sees Blood of Its Own" and especially, "How did this One Life fall so Far and fast" May God Bless you Suzanne, for your "Talent" coupled with your "Angelic Voice" From a Big Fan from the UK.
Maybe also "World Before Columbus and Ludlow Street" The first was about her daughter Ruby, and how she would have felt if she lost her, the second was about her Brother Tim Vega, who she did lose in death.
Well, my Mother "Passed Away" last Friday and this song is more relevant to me now. But in reverse, this song is dedicated my aged Mother Patricia. God Rest Your Soul Mom.
My Mother has since "Passed Away" but I hear words. "How did this one life fall, and so Far and Fast" I Cry many a Night, thinking of her, and how she must have felt, feeling Alone, and abandoned. God bless you Suzanne.
Sadly, she "Passed Away" such a "Lovely Person" who had a "Hard Life" The way she died, leaves a "Lump in my throat" She was just a "Bag of Bones" a "Living Corpse" In a "Nursing Home" after the "Social Worker" said I could no longer look after her. Even a Taxi Cab Driver told me. "You would not let an Animal Suffer like that" I "Cry for you every day Mom.
:D :D :D thx for posting ! I hope sometime someone could find the complete concert ( I only found four songs of it on TH-cam and I know there was at least six)
I think this can be about finding those rare kindred spirits too and not just a relative. If only we could reach out a hand without fear of it being bitten. Hauntingly lovely track
Strange. I had the same idea. I see it the way you described it. I think anyone can make his own "version" of the meaning, generell in songs. Thank you for your comment!!
@@yousefghanimeh9817 I've always loved this song, but it wasn't until I met my first blood relative when I was 38 that the meaning really deepened for me. Such a haunting, bittersweet feeling...
I adore this song. I think it's her most brilliant.

it's about her meeting her father for the first time when she was in her late twenties
