I was at that Concert in Concord, CA, and took dozens of photos of this band on Kodachrome 64 slide film. I was able to move all around the front of stage area. As the security thought I was an official Press photographer; with my four cameras and camera bags. I have some really awesome shots of the soloists.
@@tigerbombs23 One of the Menza photos are under Everystockphoto if you Google Don Menza 1979 Concord Jazz Festival. Another one under Picssr By Gabriel Patrick Navarro, listed incorrectly as the 1980 Concord Jazz Festival. Picssr has the same photo I mentioned first. The cropped Gabriel's name off the bottom of the pic. The rest are on his Facebook page. At least, that's what I saw earlier this year. I'm no longer on Facebook, so I don't know, now.
2nd bone my senior year. EPIC song, just too too much fun to play. Like running a marathon, but in a really good way. Ah, the memories...I still get a goofy grin just listening to the live version. :D This should be required playing for all HS jazz ensembles. Guaranteed to improve your technique. ;)
Look at the length of the video. You want to re-arrange it to be 20 minutes long? Go ahead, but the chart is about 4 feet long in person, so have fun figuring out all those notes.

Are they online anywhere?

P.S、昔、高崎市のスイングで、少しお話伺わせて頂きました。その節はありがとうございました。
I’m torn between this arrangement and the one Menza did for Les DeMerle. Both were so good.

I would love to have a copy of those pictures. I went to school with John Thomas. Thanks.

@@tomshea8382 Hey, another old-school drum corps nut who knows his rep! Excellent!
Time for a remake with modern mechanics (dci wise)
