Trying to keep your garden weed free can be one of those things, that make people not want to raise a garden. After all, less weeds mean less competition for nutrients for your plants. What if I told you we can do it in 6 minutes or less. We can and do, and we hand pick them. Sound easier than tilling and hoeing? It is for us. With the weed barrier fabric and the drip tape watering system, our garden maintenance is cleaner, easier, and cheaper than you think. We have used the same stuff we purchased 3 years ago, and used it every year. We think it may last 10 years maybe. That’s a blessing for us. At the end of the season, we break down our water system, pull the staples that hold down our fabric, fold each piece of material and store it. We will plant some cover crop where the garden was.
