- Small Cabin Move-in And Cabin Roof Troubles! After a few weeks off, I'm back to work in my Italian Alps stone cabin. The weather has been quite challenging, with strong storms causing damage to the roof so we are moving into the small cabin It's always a battle here, but my wife has joined me to help make up for lost time. Glad to see you back. Sometimes exercise can be good and sometimes not. All the shows with stone cabins are in such poor shape but so beautiful in the color of the stone and old wood. You have a lot of work ahead to bring the cabin back to life. Right now it is called "ruffing it" and that will improve with time.

Hello Jan! I'm sorry you were concerned, fortunately, my arm is working reasonably well, although I'm thinking of having surgery during the colder months when it will be tougher to work here, so I'll take a break. However, I'll let you know in a video if that happens! Hugs!

Absolutely yes! The project will continue, one way or another. I'm currently consulting with the head of surgery at a renowned Italian university hospital to evaluate whether to undergo surgery using a special robot this winter when it's colder here and work will be more challenging. I don't know anything for sure yet, but I will notify the channel if it happens. Health comes first!

Hi, thanks! We try to take advantage of every moment of sunshine to arrange and make wood. The climate here has really changed, there are strong weather phenomena alternating with moments of hot sunshine. The forest is slippery, you have to do it a little at a time💪

Have you thought of inviting backpackers to come and stay to perhaps help you with your jobs.
Maybe next summer you could think of doing this. Many of the off grid shows I watch do this.

No, don't worry, I won't give up on my dream. Well, to answer your advice, I have actually thought about calling someone next summer, maybe when I'll be redoing the roof of the smaller section of the cabin. However, I haven't decided yet; being able to renovate it on my own is a bit of a challenge I've set for myself, of course, without overtaxing my health.💪
The cabin has a lot more space than you can see from the outside shots. Also another level underneath, it's surprising just how much.👍
Yes, there is great potential to create what you want. We decided to start from the smallest part for obvious reasons, time, costs, the fireplace and therefore the heat. Let's hope that the future reserves us the time and serenity to get everything done!

Heavenly days, you don't have to use a sawing motion with a chain saw, just hold it still. It will cut better and faster!
