The three important attributes of the supreme Lord are mentioned here by the statement Aham Brahmasmi. He is Aham (Aheya) or none can remain without him. He is Brahman or Purna. He is Asmi - i.e., to be comprehended as ever present. These three attributes are conveyed by Aham Brahmasmi. This is no way means that you are indifferent from the Brahman as the Adwauthis mis-interpret. This quote occurs in iii.5.4. It in no way means, you are Brahman.
If Brahman is the only thing that exists, as the Adwaithis claim, then, from where and whence can Avidya can come from?
If there is Avidya, then, what is the locus of it? It cannot be Brahman, because, it would mean, something other than Brahman also exists. This goes against the very assumption we started with. The locus of Avidya cannot be Jeeva either. That is because, it is Avidya that results in Jeeva thinking he is different Brahman. So, if Avidya is the cause and Jeeva is the effect, then, cause cannot have the effect as its locus.
Long and short, the interpretation of the Shruti Vaakyam by Adwaitham is incorrect and no logically tenable.
Respected Sir, Avidya whatever you mean by the term is the reslt of poorva janma vasana or effects of karma of previous birth. Brahman should be understood as moolam or the root which grows into different jeevas as per the fruits of previous karma embracing the qualities or the swabhava of the the entities they deserve to assume. There will be no confusion if more tbought is bestowed on this aspect.
