  • Driven by Tom at the VSCC Silverstone Spring Start.
Built by Anthony J. Merrick who previously prepared and raced R1A until its then owner sold the car.
Being without a car the resourceful Merrick shuffled his stock of genuine ERA parts and came up with AJM1. The 1980s brand new 1930s car is said to be an 80% original ERA B-type car using a 1.5litre engine and then a light green early works colour scheme.
Tom currently drives AMJ1 on behalf of its present custodian Mr Ben Fidler, who is also the owner of R4D. You will find Ben, Tom and the pair of ERA's often at Prescott Hill Climb.

Loved these cars since seeing my first at Crystal Palace in 1938 . "Blue and Yellow" it was Prince Bira's whom I saw then in a dual with Arther Dobson. It is Romulus or Remus .
