Your project is coming along nicely. People don't realize just how long it takes to build a masterpiece. I've been working on mine for a year. I'm sure it will take me 5 to finish.
I've been thinking about doing this for a couple years and I finally look it up on TH-cam today and boom you're even in Florida so you done all the research for me about the insulation and cooling and even the drainage. All those things required when living in Florida climate. I'm so glad I found your channel today bud!! Keep up the good work.
I've enjoyed watching your videos. when will the part 3 video be out? I have a 40 ft and a 45 ft both are former refer trailers and are will insulated and have been very easy to convert into tiny houses. We have placed our trailers beside each other 8ft apart and are going to build a deck between the two and across the front entry which gives plenty of room for entertaining guests.
you know what the best part is, If the land ever had issues like flooding or something. He could hook up and roll out. This is actually a bad ass idea especially if you own a big rig etc. go down to the ocean for a few days, no rent nothing but peace and quiet. I don't have a cdl so if I was gonna do something like this it would be a car hauler type of trailer with maybe a goose neck.
This is beyond amazing. I believe one to many Tiny Home videos have led me to your channel. The only logical explanation I can see for your channel being in my algorithm. Your work is incredible impressive. Truthfully, I watched because I was even more impressed that someone who shares my ethnic image, a true craftsman, is quite literally building his own home from scratch. Apologies for the term. What’s more, on your own. You work is remarkable. Thank you for your talents and vision. Are your plans to live off the grid, or are construction of these homes passion projects? Forgive me for asking, this really is incredible.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot. I'm doing this for a culmination of reasons. The Most High showed me a vision of what's been happening over the last 2 years, about 4 years ago; then He blessed me with this property. I first got the idea to live in a semi trailer when I was 10; and figured that I can use this property to bring my dream into fruition, carry out my purpose and do the Lord's work. I truly believe my purpose is to motivate and inspire others to think outside of the box when it comes to housing. If we can reduce our housing costs, it'll eventually lead to financial independence. Our people have always been great at turning something small into something spectacular; which is a gift from TMH. Thanks Sis! APTTMH!!
Our 40' semi-trailer was the standard 13'6" high. We lowered the roof by 18". Less cubic feet to heat. . Insulation: Against the inside of the outer wall: * adhesive-back acoustic, a gap, then * one-inch pink-board, another air-gap, then * two-inch foil-side poly. . Heat: We use one Wave 3 catalytic heater set on LOW. . Floor: Bamboo plank perimeter with slate in the center. During cooler weather, the Wave 3 catalytic heater sits on the factory stubby legs, and heats the slate, then that radiates into the room.
Thank you for this documentation. I've had the same idea, but for tiny house purposes. I live in the woods in Florida too. You're inspirational! I'm curious to know your our of picket cost in the end? 🙏 Thanks 😊👍
Really interested in doing this, my brother and I are having the same idea. What has your hassle been with being able to clear the land yourself and being able to live in the trailer in essence is your land agricultural or residential. Because I’m trying to figure out what land to buy so my brother and I can do this.
Painting it black in Florida eh? Like to live it up in the heat eh? lol Man, I live way further north and it gets so damn hot here I would have to have mine painted white just to help because it's already too damn hot.
Hello sir . I love what you did with your home. So beautiful. I am planning on doing something similar this summer and was wondering if you could help me with some ideas? I, too live in FL and am planning to get a piece of land. I found trailers for sale for 500 bucks ns wanted to start with one. I'd really appreciate it if you could help.
Thank you! Here's the 3D rendering of mine: th-cam.com/video/dG8izTsgGN8/w-d-xo.html ... That's a good start. I'd get at least one acre. What part of FL?
You said you painted black, and you live in Florida, but the question is why? Maybe theres something I don't understand. Is it cold there? I thought it is sunny, hot, and humid?
Why are you using such thick wood as wall paneling. Trailer might be too heavy when you’re all done. Maybe maybe not. Just saying maybe you haven’t thought about it. Looks like you’re using 2x4. Could probably get away with 1x whatever. Overall looking good. Good bless!
I could have gotten away with using a lot of things; I chose to use dimensional lumber mainly for the structural integrity and added insulation (which is around R7). Thanks for watching and commenting.
You vid title is in error. You mean BUILDING OUT A SIMI TRAILER. Made for much confusion. Wouldnt it have been cheaper & better to use an shipping container parked on the ground? Those tires will eventually go flat & the trailer will lean. PLUS, you will have stairs to climb. !

I don't know what's more impressive, your vision or the fact you trusted yourself to stand on your vehicle hood to paint.

You're very talented!! I pray you continue to soar!!

May God bless you sir. The more I see these videos the more I want to grab a trailer here in the UK and convert it and live off the grid.
Do it! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏾
You are very skilled my friend 👍👍
Wonderful build!! You are an inspiration Sir!!
You got a lot of wood there! Looks amazing so far. Can’t wait til it’s all done.
Can’t wait to see the finished house, it’s looking really good right now. Great job 👏✌🏼❤️🙏🏼

What is the height of your trailer? I’m loving the loft with those stairs.
How you liking this heat lately?
My body was designed for it.
How did you get permit to do this. I want to do this is Escambia co. but don't know if it's allowed. They do allow single wides on certain zoned lots.
Amazing. What paint did you use?
Did you do any insulation?
Are you available for a phone id like to pick your brain about this route.

Hey, when you put up the walls inside, did you go from bare metal to frame/insulation. Or do you have a plastic/vapor barrier? Thanks.
Is this in the Golden Gate? Forgive me if I'm asking the obvious. Volume muted, so i could only watch. I am intrigued so far.

Have you had any moisture issues in the walls of this build?
Final product?
just did u not brace th roof? ive found most ppl do if they add windows
🇨🇦👊🇨🇦👊
With painting it black and having such little insulation, doesn't it get SUPER HOT?
Looks like u could of made the ceiling higer

Lol. Thanks, Tyler ❣️ It didn't work this time, but maybe I'll have better luck in the future. 😆😉😘
Yo go, girl! Shoot your shot!👊
Would have been better without the music
Maybe consider a voice over when you fast forward

Gross weight. 80,000 lbs -20k lbs tractor. I highly doubt he's anywhere close to 60,000 lbs. That is so solid.

Why would you paint it black? Now you can see how badly damaged the body is.
Because it's mine and that's the color I chose. Don't be stupid
