Oh Lord, I feel goosebumps. I am a tailor too but for some reason I've never tried to sew lingerie. I was looking for inspiration to make my first undies and I found your channel. And I feel crazy excitement cause I was just shouting "OMG saaame". I learned the most I know from vintage clothes and I adore your approach about clothing and sustainability 😍 I totally agree about silk. I am traveling in a very wild style, hiking and living in the forest for months, and silk is so much more durable and easy to care for. Hi Katerina! I recently have found your channel and it's like a breath of fresh air. Finally someone who actually likes talking about all the important history and arguments of the choice of garment that is being made. I love thinking and talking about everything that can possibly shape my way of thinking further away from general fast fashion (which is not hard to do, I just like enjoying it), momentary trends and so on. I love natural fibers, but of course those are really expensive (especially here in Hungary, plus there's a very few stores where I could buy quality textiles). I for example tend to buy from retired seamstress professionals or other hobby sewists. I use vinegar essence too for all my laundry! I love it. Fabric softener is not actually a fabric softener (yes, you're right, it's a scam), it supposed to soften the water in order to keep both the machine and garments in "good shape" (well yes, soft and tidy). But the fact that this stuff becomes a strechy and gross mush dried on the edge of its bottle makes me think about things like "why would I want THAT in my clothes..???" So yes, vinegar it is. Please, keep making videos (I know, 28648 people already said this and news flash: they are speaking the truth!), because we need quality content like yours on TH-cam. Oh my goodness, I thought this was just me... 😅 I like smaller channels more just because everything feels so much more comfortable and I guess you could say... personal? I tend to feel a bit bad though just in case people actually do want their channels to get larger, because of course you'd hope that their goals happen.

Would you consider making a tutorial for the box you store the corset in? I have been fantasising about storing my national costume (Faroese) in such a box as it is made of wool and I would prefer not to hang it, but I have been unable to find such a box and do not really know where to begin with assembling one haha. I also want to note that I adore all your videos and so appreciate the care you put into not only the craftmanship and research but also the incredible editing, music and excellent humour. Do you have a suggestion for sources for the various materials you used for these items? i.e. the elastic, underwires, mesh, etc.?

I used underwires from old bras :)
