    This was the best time I had in FOREVER. And I got to share it with my 13 yo daughter and husband. The hubs is now a major fan. We saw her in Ohio. I do NOT know how any artist can top this.

      Me too, I'm a new swifty dad, although I liked her music for a while now, but this is the very first concert I've been to, in Santa Clara. Clara. There's one other artist I can say who may be equal to her in terms of putting on a show, and that's Garth Brooks.

    This was my 2nd time seeing Taylor. First was Reputation Tour. The show was great but the Eras Tour was phenomenal. My experience was amazing not only from the concert itself but, as you mentioned, the fans were great as well. Everyone was super nice and the staff at Levi Stadium was great too. I went on my own like you did but I also talked to a bunch of people as well. As a straight guy, I had fun talking to the girls there whether at the lightrail, the merch line, food line or just in my section I was in. Taylor’s fan base is really down to earth and just fun to be around. The concert itself was phenomenal. This felt like a once in a lifetime show. Definitely the best concert I’ve ever been too and probably the best concert I’ll ever attend in my life. It was that good. I’m already looking forward to seeing her on the next tour. Glad you had a great time as well!

    • @JonathanMillerMusic
      @JonathanMillerMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm so jealous you got to go to the Rep Tour! 😩 I'm glad you had a great time too. It really is unlike anything else and "once in a lifetime" is genuinely a great way to describe it. I have no idea what she'll do next but right now, this is unforgettable and truly a moment in time for music.

    • @49ersFan415
      @49ersFan415 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JonathanMillerMusic Yea the Rep Tour was really fun. It was way easier to get tickets as well. The first show ended up selling out so she added a second show and that’s the one I went to. The experience to get the tickets was super easy. Ticketmaster dropped the ball so bad with the eras tour. I spent about 7 hours trying to get a ticket. They threw me out once and I was sure I wasn’t going to get in them. When I did get back in, I was denied tickets like 5 times because, according to them, other people kept buying them. When I FINALLY got my ticket, it was like a weight lifted off of me!
      As for her next tour, I have no idea what she’s gonna do but I feel like she’s entering a new phase of her career right now. She’s always been on top and owned the music industry but everything this tour has done for the economy of not only the cities she’s gone to, but America itself, she’s single handidly saving and boosting the nation’s economy. That’s incredible and I’ve never heard of anyone doing that. Not to mention since the pandemic, she’s releasing some of her best albums of her career with Folklore, Evermore and Midnights. It’s like she’s holding the titles of Biggest Pop Star On Earth in one hand and Living Legend in the other and she STILL hasn’t peaked in terms of creative process, writing process and fandom peak. 17 years into her career and she just keeps getting bigger and bigger as an artist. It’s really incredible to watch. I think when the 20s are over, The Eras Tour is going to be labeled the best concert of the decade. Nobody is doing it like her right now and nobody’s coming close to her either. You know what’s awesome though? As great as the eras tour was, she still had lots of deep cuts that she didn’t play off the new albums. Lover had so many good songs like False God, Cornelia Street, Afterglow, It’s Nice To Have A Friend etc etc. I hope to hear those songs live either on the next tour or in future tours.

    • @JonathanMillerMusic
      @JonathanMillerMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@49ersFan415 I cannot agree with you more. The genuine cultural impact of this tour is incredible and the fact that she just keeps getting better is truly a sight to see. The Economic impact alone deserves a page in the history books. She’s giving millions of life-changing dollars to her crew and food banks everywhere she goes. This is set to become to highest grossing tour of all time and honestly for good reason. When I was in 8th grade listening to Teardrops on My Guitar back in 2006 I never expected this girl would become one of the greats at this level of pandemonium. She does good things and I hope her legacy always remembers that because she’s been like that since the beginning. She doesn’t cringe or shy away from her hits she’s played 10 million times. She (to quote her herself recently) has no plans of stopping and it’s so refreshing to see an artist 17 years on embrace their own discography, take genuine moments to take in all the faces and costumes of each person in a crowd of 70,000. Not to mention the morale boost following the pandemic too. She’s restoring a lot of positivity that was lost over the last few years. It’s mind-blowing and beautiful to see :)

    • @49ersFan415
      @49ersFan415 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JonathanMillerMusic Yup I agree. I was actually looking into what the highest grossing tour in history is and apparently it’s Michael Jackson’s Bad Tour from back in the 80s I believe. I think that tour grossed around $300 Million and it’s safe to say that The Eras Tour has far surpassed that number and she still has another 14 months of touring for this gig! I’m surprised they haven’t announced that she broke MJs record but I guess the final numbers won’t announced until the tour is finally completed. Obviously the money differences in ticket prices are way different but still, if she breaks his record then she breaks his record even if they adjust MJs Tour to modern amounts. She’s actually going to become a billionaire off this tour and will be the first women to make a billion dollars strictly based off her music and concerts. Simply incredible. Her giving money to people involved in her tour is also a great gesture from her. Here in Santa Clara, she gave enough money to the food bank that they said it’ll be enough to feed 500K people!!
      I remember hearing her earlier songs as well like Fifteen and Love Story and You Belong With Me. Back then I just figured her another pop act that was gonna have their 15mins of fame and then fade away like most of them do but then she just kept making all the albums and her songs were always good and listenable. I will admit though that I became a swiftie back when Reputation came out. I always did like her music that I heard on the radio but I didn’t like the “all guys who listen to Taylor Swift are gay” stigma that came with it. I know you said you’re gay in your video and I don’t want to offend you when I said that but as a straight guy, I just didn’t want that stigma attached to me. I literally don’t care that your gay or if anyone’s gay so I don’t want you thinking I’m talking down to you or anything by saying that lol. Anyways, as a got older I simply stopped caring about what other people would think if I said I loved Taylor Swifts music and honestly, shedding that fear of what others would think turned out to be one of the best decisions because when I started to listen to her albums, I quickly found out how great of a songwriter she really is. Her radio singles aren’t her best songs. I really wish I could have followed her career a lot earlier but at least we have TH-cam so I can go back and watch other previous concerts and stuff. Taylor is easily my favorite artist and has been since 2018 or so.
      Taylor’s legacy will definitely live on pass her retirement or death. She’s cemented herself as one of the greats and that stays forever. I also love how she’s always been humble. Sometimes when people get famous when they’re still kids, it’s goes to their heads and they catch some kind of complex to them. Just look at what it did to Justin Bieber when he was acting like an idiot back in the day. Lizzo too and how she’s being accused of trying to force sexual assault on her dancers and shit. Fame is a dangerous thing but it never went to Taylor’s head and neither did her money. You can tell she was raised right by her parents and that they sat her down and talked to her about that fame and money she was getting when she first started blowing up when Fearless came out. That’s another thing I love about her. She makes us feel like we know her personally and that’s one of things that really drew me into her as a fan. Another thing I love is that she’s never had to overly sexualize herself in her music videos, lyrics or performances. Nothing wrong with a woman being sexy but so many women do it to where it’s explicit and classless. She never needed that had has become what she is based on her raw talents and unique ability to connect with the fans.
      Also the fan reactions for this tour have been insane! Here in Santa Clara, we gave her like a 4 minute ovation after she played Champaign Problems. It was the most incredible ovation I’ve ever heard mid-concert and definitely the loudest as well! In LA, I heard on Twitter that they gave her an 8 Minute ovation!! We gave Taylor all the love on this tour and she deserved it. I can’t even imagine the fandom whenever she does her final farewell tour. If I’m still alive and lucky enough to afford a ticket/beat the crowds for a ticket that’s definitely going to be the most emotional concert I’ll attend for sure. Hopefully that’s not for decades and decades to come though.

    This is such a lovely report of your experience! I’ve never been able to attend a Taylor show and I lost the Great War in November, so… as jealous as I am! … it’s really nice hearing what a great experience you had. I’m still hopeful an opportunity might arise for me… maybe she’ll come back and do some Canada shows or maybe I can get in to a UK show that wouldn’t be too difficult for me to get to from the east coast. Your VIP ticket report makes me more willing to consider one of those tickets… I wasn’t sure if they were worth it.

    Thank you for your honest and in-depth review. Glad you liked it and followed your father’s advice. I have to wait for another 11 months to finally see her (again), and reviews like yours are both killing time and increasing expectations and excitement. I’m privileged to see the show 4 times (Amsterdam July 4, 6 & 6 and Gelsenkirchen July 17). Unlike the US we don’t have seats at the floor. For Gelsenkirchen I have front standing (basically between the big stage and the diamond), so I have 11 months to prepare for an exhausting day. For Amsterdam’s first show I have a VIP package and second ring front seat and for the other shows I have normal seats at the first and second ring. I will experience the show from different perspectives.

    Sorry to hear about your father but I’m glad you took his advice, won the Great War and had a great time on floor. ❤ I attended Seattle N1 and it was absolutely the best concert I have ever been to. The singing, dancing, screaming, jumping with 72k besties is something I’ll remember all too well. I was in nosebleeds and the balcony was scarily shaking throughout Fearless. Reputation and 1989 eras. No wonder we caused the seismic activity! Lol
    Everyone there was so kind and I had people of all ages come up to me (a 45 yr old Swiftie) to trade friendship bracelets. Just like you said, I was ready to watch the show all over again but also highly satisfied that I got to see it at least once. I agree with your assessment and experience with Ticketmaster and signing up for Verified Fan (and realizing only in hindsight that it was a bad sign for what was going to happen a couple of weeks later!!!) BUT there was no dynamic pricing allowed for the Eras Tour. TSwift wouldn’t allow it (thank goddess). The prices remained the same. The increase in ticket prices was on the secondary market and due to scalpers.

    This was her first tour I was unable to go to. Waitlisted for both American legs :/ on the first release I tried getting them from the capital one sale but got an error message about not being logged in (when I was, my name was at the top) when I tried purchasing tickets.. and that was the end :/ I really think Ticketmaster randomly generated who got VF. Especially since again someone like me who has been to every tour didn’t get tickets.
    I like at least watching this stuff and I’m really hoping she releases a DVD like the speak now concert DVD.
    I was really hoping to go to the Tampa show since it was 2 weeks before my wedding (we had wildest dreams when we walked out of the ceremony, and lover as our first dance and of course other songs through the reception. I also made a Spotify playlist for 8 hours getting ready on that morning. All Taylor).
    All I can hope is somehow tickets drop enough for next leg that I can grab some. There’s just so many scammers.
    PS: I also lost my dad in 2020 pretty quickly so I completely understand that sadness of losing a parent.

    Taylor was able to make Spotify cry uncle with her demands for change. She MUST do the same with the entire Live concert ticket circus. The entire industry is a full monopoly. Fact and truth. And don’t let them use the tired “supply and demand” excuse for everything. They just want to keep out what they perceive as “the great unwashed”.

    It was a nightmare to get tickets and still is, I have applied to US, NL and my country, in all of them I went to waiting list. Lucky we managed to get tickets for Vegas and I am still hoping to get tickets for my country. The eras tour is not a concert is a full on show. It was also my first time seeing her, after being a fan for over 15 years and I still get emotional when I hear miss Americana, “it’s been a long time coming” was the best line to start the show. I don’t think no one will ever top her on my list of live presentations, unless BTS comeback is something like that, but will see. I am so glad you had such a wonderful time at the show, it can be scary going to a concert by yourself, but Swifties are so welcoming. 🥹
