Fun fact: rabbits are a symbol of homosexuality (gay) in China so when Wei Ying asked Lan Zhan if he likes rabbits, he’s actually asking if he likes boys...
i dpoubt it. yes rabbits do have that meaning or affiliation in China but it's clear here they were BOTH LITERALLY talking about small fuffly animals.
Actually in 3:51 what I saw in LWJ's expression is that he felt *relief and disappointed at the same time* like he's saying: *"It's okay that he didn't know but I kinda feel upset 'cause I didn't get the chance to confess when I'm drunk, since I won't be able to tell him what I truly feel when I'm sober"* something between those lines hehe

I can't believe the producers sneaked in ancient "gay porn" book in the drama and got away without being censored. Totally normal in the ancient days to have one guy slips another guy a gay porn book ... not LMAO!

Actually from what I've heard homosexuality was more accepted in ancient China. So maybe they could pull that excuse. 😂

@@harshmnr in most ancient civilizations homosexuality was fairly normal. just take greece as an example 💀💀. native americans actually put them in places of power, and there were many different genders in native american cultures as well as india, native hawaiians, iran etc. it wasn’t until european nations such as britain, spain, and france, colonized these regions that homophobia and transphobia became a thing. if you’ve read the novel you’ll know that they get called “cut-sleeves” which actually references a story of an ancient emperor cutting his sleeve to not disturb a constituent while he slept there and it became a very well known symbol to show affection for someone else (mainly lovers). it’s pretty wild when you get into studying such things, and it just makes you hate colonization even more.
@@plutoyoon Yeah it's interesting, even in China it went up and down throughout history even before all the Westernization, because of Confucianism, which also emphasized "proper roles" of men and women. So it depends on the dynasty but in general yeah same concept, in a lot of places it seems to be accepted until another power, whether it's colonizers or their own government, deems it unacceptable.
(Note this is just what I remember from my Chinese history classes haha.)

idk why but the tune in the whole series -
uhm this one 4:19 make my heart ache and also sometimes feels crying .
*the end of untamed wasn't fair enough for me where they got apart , it feels too much even the OST make worse and i am on the edge of crying , the whole story is connected with emotions. lan zhan and wei wuxian don't need words to express everything they understand eachother. i love how lan zhan was on side of wei ying in whole series. ahhh i can't tell u how much sadness i am feeling because there is no more episodes also no more season. i hope they will make some more season cuz i really them together , this story is also okay if they don't get together but at least i want an ending where lan zhan confess his feelings and wei wuxian accept them and tbh this ending is more relieved than real ending and also i want everyone to accept wei ying as good person and kill those wrong rumors, also want jin rulan to forgive his uncle and jiang cheng to accept wei ying.* - this is just my opinion also you can say review . what do yo think of ost and the ending pls comment in my reply

@@lachi_solari2670 oh i didn't read novel but i think that in the end when wei wuxian turned back and smile a little , so i can think that lan zhan was back but if they show little more things like they are together then i would satisfied for sure but i don't blame them as chinese government and some toxic fans don't want to make it gay series so we can't do anything as we all know wei wuxian always belongs to lan zhan and it's already bl according to novel.

It's implied that they do. Wei Ying is playing the flute above cloud recesses and Lan Zhan is the one saying his name. Check out the special edition here on TH-cam. It has 20 episodes (around 1 hour each) and it's a treat if you've seen the drama already. It's cut to focus a bit more on the two of them but leaves out some story bits. It also has a rearranged ending you might like ;)
