This is the best, most detailed video on replacing these headlights that I've seen. I will be replacing the ones on my 2006 F250 soon and this really helps. Thank you.

The set I bought didn't come with bulbs. What kind of bulbs do I need

Are the low and high beams LED upgradable? If so is there any modifications I would have to make to the headlight or wiring?

I have a similair spyder headlight kit new in the box for my 06 f250. However on the new spider lights spyder sku#5010544 spyder part # pro-yd-fs05-hl-bk there is no connectors on the new housing back for both the turn and parking lamps. There’s just a number of loose wires with pre trimmed ends and there’s no type of connectors included in the box. It’s the only reason I have yet to install these.

I bought a used Excursion that came with these lights. The high beams point down. How do you adjust them?

I’ve done it without removing the grill. Not sure why you would have to.

The headlight housing tends to get stuck on the grille sometimes

Exactly. I watched a couple of videos and I wasn’t really sure why removing the grill is necessary. You do have to bend it a little bit to get the headlight in and out, but it’s totally doable.

Its funny that the video is cut when you get to the signal bulb hook up. I had to trim the plastic to get mine to go in properly. The led signal and light bar plug didnt insert into its slot either, there is not enough depth on the inside for it to do so when hooked up.
Otherwise great looking product and they fit awesome

Brady Adams how did u trim the plastic to get them in properly, they work and everything but when I try to get them in and twist them back in they just don’t fit

@@pedee2473 if you check out the pattern of the 'fan' or 'cross' that is on your lightbulb socket, talking about the raised parts that are supposed to insert into the hole, you will notice that they are not the same pattern as the slots theyre meant to fit into. Having the light completely out is the easiest way to see this. When you put the light socket up to the hole, note how much material needs to come off to allow you to get the socket to go in. I used an olfa knife and carefully trimmed a small amount of material at a time until i was able to get the socket in snug and turn it to lock it in.
      Hope that helps.

It's an old thread but still relevant. My 2005 F250 had a tighter clocking on the turn signal connector for one of the bosses and I also trimmed the headlight housing to fit.
The DRL connector overmold is too long and binds on the inside housing quite a bit. Trimming is OK but you risk nicking the wire. I trimmed one just under the overmolded edge and managed to "push" the other in with some pliers. 1/8" less molding and the wires would have enough room to bend without having to push so hard.
@spyderauto should really consider improving the fit for these vehicles so it is as clean as this video suggests.

@Valehope03 i think theyre probably not going to manufacture these very much longer if they still do at all. Our trucks are getting old as christ

@@Valehope03 but ya going on four years i guess and the lights still function well so there is that to be said about them atleast
